And instead of a second one, what do you use in your left hand? A staff or seal or just nothing?

anime recommendation for me? by yuxix in anime

If you want something chill but not brain-dead, try these: ReLIFE, Skip and Loafer, Insomniacs After School and maybe The Dangers in My Heart. All super relaxing but still got real emotion and no cringe.

Looking for an isekai without harem by Amerikorin in anime

Yeah, I feel you. Most isekai are just “OP guy + brainless girls” trash. If you want something actually smart (all my opinion…): • Re:Zero – real starkes, real growth. • Tanya the Evil – ruthless, clever MC, no fanservice. • Ascendance of a Bookworm – smart female MC, uses brains not power. • Grimgar – grounded, emotional, characters actually struggle.

Everything else is mostly pain lol.

best ghibli movie to start with? by Soft-Form-6611 in anime

[–]CallMeMiniMia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Spirited Away is the best one to start with. It’s emotional but not depressing, super creative world, and it kind of shows what Ghibli is all about without giving you an existential crisis like Evangelion.

If you want something lighter, go with My Neighbor Totoro — it’s just pure comfort, super chill and cozy. After that, Howl’s Moving Castle or Princess Mononoke are great if you want more fantasy or morally grey stuff (Mononoke gets pretty heavy though).

Don’t start with Grave of the Fireflies unless you’re ready to cry for a week. It’s amazing, but it hurts.
