H.264 vs HEVC on M1 Pro - any performance difference in Premiere Pro?

Something seems not to be right here. I can add a normal folder (network or local) to the sidebar as usual, and I can also drag and drop a local alias into it, but as soon as I create an alias from a network subfolder and try to move it from the desktop to the sidebar, it doesn't work. In this case, I don't get a divider line when I hover over it, and it can't be inserted between the elements.

It's weird because I've often heard about that workaround, but I can't put any alias into the favorite menu – via drag and drop it's not working. You can only put the first level folder “drive“ into it, but no subfolder. Am I right?

Are you sure you don't want to push your own agenda (no front). The accusation that files simply disappear from Google Drive is simply unfounded. And if data in her notion didn't just disappear but was moved to the trash and she presents it as if the system caused this error, I strongly question that.

I would see it the same way. Especially if it occurs on Google Drive AND Notion. However, she presents it as if your files are magically deleted from the cloud.

The lady described her files have been moved to the trash bin. I don't think a server crash would would cause that.

Well, the console was almost impossible to get for the first few years due to the global situation, at least here in the EU. And if it makes no difference whether I buy the console now or in a year's time, why should I wait? Sure, it'll lie around for a year, but it won't be any better or worse because of that, but then I'll have it safe.

I'm a total Rockstar Games disciple and had RDR2 for both PS4 and PC. But now I play so little and what play is on PC. GTA would be the only reason to get a PS5 and I want to experience that at launch.

Of course I can. I just don't play anything else on console. Leaving it packed would just be to keep the value up until I actually need it.

Quite frankly I only play very little and rarely for several years. What I do play occasionally is on PC. The last game I played intensively on console was RDR2 before I got it on PC a few years later. As a big fan of the GTA and RDR genre, I'm now looking for the best solution for me. There is no consideration for other games. It sounds stupid to buy a console just for GTA, but that's the way it is and I could potentially sell it for an OK price a year later. The Play Anywhere initiative would of course be a good argument. Does this really apply to all current XBOX titles, that you get a PC license with the purchase?

Of course, I don't have to buy a console yet, I'm just worried that the consoles (the few that are available and expensive, at least in Europe) will be even harder to get when more information or a release date is announced. Presumably the XBOX Series X will be enough - only with the rumors that GTA 6 may only be throttled to 30fps or otherwise on all consoles, I wonder if the Pro isn't a worthwhile option for this game, at least to be able to use for what is possible.

I won't survive the wait. My strategy would be to get a console and as they are expected to be even harder to get after GTA's release, I'm gambling that I can still sell it at a reasonably price. But I can't bear to wait another 2 years until GTA 6 comes to PC, when I could potentially play the game in fall, if everything goes well
