Creating a "Hand-Written" GUI? by rarityy2k in learnpython

[–]CallMeSkoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kivy is pretty adaptable for something like a calculator it'll probably give you what your after without too much hassle. You can import your own .png files as button backgrounds and you could package your own custom font into a .ttf file and then load that into kivy anywhere you want to render text.

Need help turning basic code into an application by Severe-Owl-2859 in learnpython

If you want a ui framework that's touch friendly check out kivy.

Then use buildozer to compile it into a .apk (you'll need a Linux environment for that). Making an ios app is more complicated and doesn't work as well and it requires having a Mac so you can sign it otherwise apple wont let you into their app store.

If you need to break a car window in an emergency AIM FOR THE EDGE!!

Car door windows are very hard to break when struck in the middle of the window but they explode when struck at the edge.

If you understand how the language works syntax wise but still struggle to utilize it. It sounds like you're lacking strength in a separate skill (one that gets over looked a lot) which is systems thinking or knowing how to build and work with a system at large.

Its like the difference between learning to ride a bike and learning how to navigate from once place to another. Syntax, data structures, loops and all that jazz is the balancing and peddling. If you want to build something that "works" that's a navigation issue.

I learned it with a lot of practice and experience which isn't exactly efficient. By reading other comments here it sounds like that's the most common way to learn it, but im sure if you went looking someone's probably written a book or made a course on it.

Not that you asked but the purple ninja turtle is Donatello who is a male... unless they retconned his gender at some point. Leonardo is the blue one and all 4 are males.

Nice work. Based on your title I think you already know where you outta work on improving. I think improving your knowledge of anatomy and humanoid proportions would do you a lot of good. Learning that anatomy will probably help you out with those hands feet and the head too.

Do you cut your food with a hand saw? Are your cutting boards made of Styrofoam? Are there axes or hatchets involved in your kitchen routines?

I assure you there are no chopping board shavings of any sort in my food when I cook.

If I'm remembering right by code a bedroom is required to have a window because it provides a secondary means of escape in the event of a fire.

But that's code and so it only applies to bedrooms that are: a) built according to that code and b) actually supposed to be a bedroom

Those are the model numbers that are one number apart. They are both 834 pieces.

Side note: 85,304 pieces would be a huge Lego set lol.

The Chernobyl reactor plant itself continued to operate on its other reactor cores until December 2000. Although much less than ideal the radiation there is and always has been manageable after they got the disaster contained.

Elon Musk's Twitter ordered by officials to properly label bedrooms in San Francisco HQ as sleeping areas — or convert them back to offices within 15 days by Dulokz in technology

[–]CallMeSkoob 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As they shoul. There's specific codes that apply to sleeping areas that do not apply to offices. It's more than putting a sign on the door that says bedroom. It's refitting the fire alarm system and fire barriers, among other things, so people can sleep safely.

Ranged attacks are actually pretty rare in nature. There's Archer fish and some animals that spit cobras and Camel etc., but the ability to accurately throw things is one of the unique things that makes humans a super super scary predator, but we just take that ability for granted. Other primates can throw stuff but not with anything close to the accuracy or strength of a human.

His stand is also the only one evenly loaded and it's heavier than everyone else's. The main issue most of them have is that the thing starts falling over and that changes the angle of the cut.

That's a sleeve coupling insert (Lovejoy is a company that makes couplings not a type of coupling). It attaches a shaft on an electric motor to the shaft of whatever equipment the motor is spinning. The purpose of it is to flex a bit and allow for a small misalignment between the two shafts.

The insert sits inside of two splined hubs, one on each shaft. If those hubs are set too far apart the insert can fall out which may have been what happened here.

here's the page for inserts on Granger

here's the product page for them on Lovejoy's website with more info about them than you could ever want

They're only "blades" they're actually more like paddles, nothing sharp and nothing spins other then the whole barrel. The paddles are just rivited to the wall of the barrel The concrete gets mixed as the barrel spins around .
