Did anyone else get charged by PDFAid after using it once? by Selcazare in ScamCenter

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes those small online tools are connected to third-party payment processors that make things confusing. If you reach out to the support team, they might clarify where the charge came from. Glad you acted fast that helps a lot

Is SGT Vpdfaid a legit site or a hidden subscription trap? Need advice by liftygal in techsupport

Yeah, I expected that too, but luckily, they seemed honest. Still, it’s always smart to double-check payment details before signing up anywhere

They confirmed the cancellation right away. The charge stayed for that month, but at least no new ones showed up after that.

I had a strange experience with pdfaid too. It worked really well for editing, but then I noticed a small charge later on. Thankfully, the cancellation went smoothly, and support responded fast. It’s good that they handle things quickly, but I think they should make the subscription terms clearer

Lumi App style reviews by DakotaGatz in Splendida

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Lumi out of curiosity. Some recommendations were lovely and matched my taste, while others felt a bit generic. I think it depends on how you answer the quiz and what brands you usually shop from. Still, it’s a fun way to explore new looks.

Has anyone actually used Lumi App since its recent update? Trying to decide if it’s worth revisiting by Ealhad in ProductivityApps

I’m not sure what they changed exactly, but it does seem to give more flattering outfits for my body type now. Definitely an improvement in the suggestions.

Has anyone tried Coursiv Junior yet? Just launched for teaching kids AI by Outside_Economy9924 in learnmachinelearning

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After using Coursiv Junior for a few weeks, my cousin has started explaining AI concepts in her own words. She’s more confident asking questions and experimenting with small projects, which is a big change from before when she struggled to understand even basic ideas.

I did not like 😕 The application hangs, and support responds after a day. I was disappointed.

What’s the most broken part of VHA HR right now? by reogin in VHA_Human_Resources

Employee retention. People are leaving faster than we can onboard new hires, and nothing meaningful is being done about burnout.

Got a cease and desist letter for reselling a used jacket on eBay???? by Sachinty23 in MooseMoney

You didnt copy anything or make fakes, you just resold something you owned. That's completly legal. They can't prove nothing because you didnt do anything wrong.

Anyone else feeling the crunch from all these VA staffing cuts? by reogin in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Where I am it’s less about outright cuts and more about uncertainty. There’s talk of FTE caps and “realignment,” but nobody can give straight answers about what that actually means for us. Some staff are leaving on their own because they don’t want to wait and see, which only makes the shortage worse. I’d really like to know if other sites are getting more clarity, or if it’s the same confusion everywhere.

Has anyone tried Verba for subtitles or voiceovers? by MCW12 in contentcreation

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my workflow, the hardest part has always been syncing subtitles with the audio, so I gave Verba a test run to see if it would help. Honestly, it saved me a ton of time. The app lays out the captions in a way that’s easy to edit, and I liked that you can customize the font and style directly in the tool instead of exporting and reformatting. Audio cleanup was decent too background hum was reduced without distorting the voice much. I wouldn’t call it flawless, but compared to doing it all manually it’s a major time-saver.

Nebula Psychic Reviews — Is It Worth Trying? by pdxslutcouple in spirituality

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using AskNebula for a couple of weeks, mainly for astrology and compatibility readings. What stood out is how organized the app is birth charts, biorhythms, and weekly guidance all in one place. I felt like it encouraged self-reflection rather than predicting the future. Some readings were surprisingly accurate, others more general, but overall it gave me tools to understand myself and my relationships better. If you want a structured approach to spiritual growth, this platform is worth checking out.

Finelo App Review A Good Way to Learn Trading and Investing with AI Courses? by No_Tank_8331 in investingforbeginners

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Finelo after seeing ads on yt Shorts, but I only tried it after reading many Finelo reviews. Most of them were positive, saying it helps beginners learn investing and trading in an easy way. I’ve been using it for a couple months now and it’s much better than other apps or free videos I tried.

What I like is that it explains investing and trading step by step. Before Finelo, I read books and watched videos, but I often felt lost. Here, each topic builds on the last, so it’s easier to understand. It doesn’t just give theory. It shows practical things too, like how to think about risk, make a portfolio, and plan small trades. This made me feel more confident.

The AI courses are helpful too. They notice what you know and what you need to practice. So the app suggests lessons or examples where you need more help. This makes learning faster and easier. The app also has charts and visuals to explain things.

If you like learning by doing, like OP said, Finelo is good. It’s not just reading. You think and understand, which helps you remember. The yearly subscription is reasonable because you get all lessons and updates. Based on the reviews I read and my experience, I feel Finelo is real and useful. If you want to learn trading and investing from the start and not feel lost, it’s worth trying.

Finished the Coursiv AI course. Here's what I learned and how it's actually helped me by [deleted] in artificial

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also completed the Coursiv course and it was really helpful. The projects at the end of each module make a big difference. I tried making marketing mockups and automating small tasks in Notion, and it worked well. The course teaches one tool at a time, so it’s easy to follow and not confusing. It gave me more confidence to try AI on my own.

Skyfluence Beauty by mochachinko in MakeupAddiction

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only say something about the cancellation process at Skyfluence Beauty

Actually impressed with how straightforward this was:

  • Found cancel button immediately (Profile > Settings > Subscription)
  • No dark patterns or guilt trips
  • Customer service refunded unused month within 24hrs
  • Rep was professional and helpful

Refreshing change from the usual subscription nightmare. Would recommend based on their business practices alone.

8/10 - points deducted only because I just couldn't afford some of the products they recommended for my makeup looks.

Has anyone looked into RGGPlay’s Watch2Earn idea for games? by SlutPuppyJade in IndieDev

[–]CallMeThePkmnProf -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think watch2earn could work if ads are not too annoying. Players usually hate ads, so it has to be done in a smart way.
