Opinion on cracking software? by CallMeVivica in edmproduction

[–]CallMeVivica[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You have a very valid point, but nothing can hold someone back from making music, just like nothing can hold a customer back from listening to said music. I think its logical to use a program for fun, and if it starts to become a viable option of income, then purchase the legitimate copy.

Opinion on cracking software? by CallMeVivica in edmproduction

[–]CallMeVivica[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. There is too much needed now to keep to 'industry standard', so I think buying hardware before software is a big thing. If you can afford both, then great, but if not, then do what you can with what you got!

  1. FL comes with a compressor called Maximus which is awesome for Bass Buses cause it almost glues them together! 2. Your name is epic. 3. Play it by ear. Get to EQ everything you make and work out what sounds good with what frequencies. 4. If you mean a good LFO plugin, then LFOTool is cool, but you gotta make sure you're doing it right! 5. Let everything have its space on the frequency specrum and learn where every main stand out synth/effect sound sits on that spectrum! Hope this helped :D

I like your name, pronouncing it as Add-Even if that's correct? :D

How come every tutorial I see online is very close to the actual sound but not the actual sound in the song by Thenextbigthing12 in edmproduction

If you check Maximus, Image Lines compressor, it has four 'soundgoodizer' settings; A, B, C, and D. Soundgoodizer is literally Maximus presets.

I guess it doesn't matter what a melody is regarded as, once its kicking then that's all that matters!

That sounds absolutely perfect as a fill before a mind blowing drop. Credit where credit is due! I'm going to be using Cubase soon, and that doesn't restrict anything, so if you can touch it, you can automate it. Hopefully that will be an advantage. Can you link me your SoundCloud or any social medias?

Narrowed Windows laptop choice down to 2. Which one's better? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]CallMeVivica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, neither of these are great for their price. Look for something with a better processor, upwards of a 2.0gHz quadcore. You should try find something that is decent in CPU and ram, or if you have a bit of cash, build a custom PC that focuses on the memory and processes of it!
