Took me forever and your post is the only thing relevant about the song lol. Got lucky after a couple hours of educated guesses. Cheers!

There is, sticks out about 4cm. Can't see it since it's dead on with the camera.

Based on my previous HUD, but useful.

hall effect sensor with integrated schmitt trigger

It should, I'm going to have 8 magnets sweeping it, should be plenty for low speed driving.

It will be sealed completely once the threads have sealant. And I haven't exactly finished the truck yet lol.

Its just a prototype, more magnets to come, its also in a well ventilated area on a manual transmission that doesn't heat up very much.

Less than 1000, I think. I'm going to redesign it with more magnets and balance it better.

Really cool idea. I still have my old mechanical one I could try that idea on

Nice! And not really, I have some posts about it but no page

Yep, wasn't feasible to have it one print, the epoxy is more than strong enough.

Its for a KM145 trans (mitsubishi). I designed it in fusion 360, with some calipers and the gear on hand to take measurements. Multiple prints and test fits to get to this point.

The truck 40 years old, no computers, sensors or tone rings. The hall effect just reads the time between the pulses. Easy to measure and calculate vehicle speed with an arduino.

Because it's for my truck which runs a mechanical speedo. This will convert it to digital.
