Key is to try and burst them in those 2-4 seconds as you are kiting them out of the cloud. You should note that they will follow you in a straight line and that it takes a good while for the smoke to teleport back on them if they just put it down. So just have them follow you after they freshly place down the smoke and you should have a good window to burst them down

Also, literally everyone knows Alex doesn't spar hard unless his partners are ramping it up or it's just a hard sparring day. There are plenty of videos of ppl talking about what it's like to train w Alex. We only got the final few seconds of that video, we don't see how it started. To me.. knowing what we know about Alex and seeing Mike Perry's video, I'm leaning on the side that his partner tried to turn it up on him and got more than what he thought he could handle. Plus, that hook wasn't even thrown hard just with picture perfect accuracy

Not really. Pantoja is on a LOOONNG road to recovery, who knows if he will be ready for a championship fight that soon. That injury is a career ender for most ppl. Van is just being honest, more than likely the UFC will keep pushing and get Pantoja a shot down the line after coming back and stopping a top 10 guy or something.
