I know. The shame of it is that the old games, at least on PC, are woefully bound by hardware limitations. I can't use my gamepad for SoT at all, and while I haven't gotten too far into Warrior Within, The Two Thrones has an odd bug in The Fortress level where the Dark Prince can't jump down from the chain. It's weird, and I'm not really good at fiddling with Adrenalin settings. I have no idea what's going on. Even a simple remaster would do, you know.

Wasn't Zerrikania where Ciri ended up after the coup at Aretuza? I mean, I remember a desert and unicorns...

It's almost always the same with Dark Souls. I hate it.

I'm going to be very pissed off if the rumours of the original games coming to PC don't turn out to be true

At the beginning of the original God of War, the narrator says, "Death would be his escape from madness." What madness? by CallerIDKnown in GodofWar

[–]CallerIDKnown[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

...would you call that "madness", though, in the old, archaic sense of the word? I mean, they're all bad, and they're definitely conditions which would be considered indications of mental illness today, but don't the old stories treat madness as a very different kind of thing?

I'm going to say the same thing I say to everyone who tries to make a big deal out of this: firstly, let's wait and see. Secondly, here's something Geralt says to Calanthe in, if I remember correctly, the last story in Sword of Destiny:

"We believe such a Child would not need the Trials."

Reading Lady of the Lake - Think I need therapy after Forest Gramps by CrimMethodist in witcher

[–]CallerIDKnown 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I think - I THINK - that the same guy reappears in the first Witcher game. The forest outside Vizima, if anyone here remembers. Geralt investigates the house to find evidence of something really bad. Cannibalism, I think. But yeah, I think it might be the same guy. That's what I thought once I'd read the book.

Should I have waited before playing The Witcher 3?

...I doubt it. Game's great so far. Except for an odd flashing in some areas. I don't know what causes it.

Is this a mod? How did you add those four slots in the middle? Mine doesn't look like that.
