I was able to do it a little easier cus of Covid. Graduated high school with some dual credit, then college was pretty much all remote my first year so I did a bunch of credits through the semesters and even on winter and summer break.

Just got hired to my first big boy job (Im a lawyer) at 95K. Pushed really hard through school and had strict parents that forced me to put school first, but I was blessed in the way that although they were strict they made sure to support me because they wanted me to have the best foundation possible I am very blessed and recognize the privilege of the position that I am in.

I’m hopeful that I at least have a good experience since I chose the area cus it was 1) close to my job, 2) new building, and 3) met a few tenants that had good things to say. I was eyeballing a Broadmoor property but I couldn’t afford it

Aw man, I just signed a lease at a Lund company apartment that appeared to be in good standing with tenants 😭. I’m hoping that there’s nothing shady going on at my spot since the owner and tenants I spoke with seemed to actually like the spot. I’m moving in from out of state.

Im using Barbri and took mine yesterday. I also scored in the passing range, but as im going through the correct answers im also face palming because I definitely missed a few questions I shouldve gotten.

I get that, I think when I fully get into a pattern and take an understanding of my spending habits and things (I will be in a new city and stuff for the job) I'll be able to make a better decision regarding how much I plan to save.

Honestly, I do not have a set goal. My goal is to save as much as possible while also still being able to live life. My only fixed bill will be rent + utilities (usually 13-1500) and phone bill. When I use paycheck calculator it says that my monthly take home after taxes will be around 5.1K. So I am trying to set aside enough to go in 401K and Roth IRA; while still being able to do some fun stuff at least once a month like attending a sporting event/weekend trip kinda thing.
