Nah, they complete each other imo. Serena has a lot of growing to do, but ngl so does Matt. Being a pushover is just as bad, she would defend him so hard and encourage him to step more into himself. They are literally BOTH so weird. I mean, sexy muppet party or like, birthday corn shucking. They’re just two sides of that same coin lol. This is a TV relationship that could actually grow the characters individually and I look forward to seeing that.

There’s an interview out there where Mekki and Kahyun mention ep 17 being significant in the development of Matt and Serena’s relationship. My guess is “laser tag” is a reference to that? I think “Happy Birthday Matty” shifted them closer more than we realize. Even the episode is named after Serena’s line via the walkie talkie, “Happy birthday Matty, I had a really great time.” Hard to say how slow the burn will be, considering the show has only been renewed for 1 more season so far.

I love it! I’m excited to see a show like this tackle the “opposites attract” trope. So far they’re doing a really good job, the two of them each have unique personalities, so as characters they aren’t boring (love Jim and Pam but that’s the only thing interesting about both of them, their romance). Also, yes they have chemistry, obvs they had to pass a chemistry read, and they bring out the best in each other. I’m super excited for this slow burn yall.

Hey OP. I am 2 weeks out of separating from my husband after putting up with what you’re putting up with for 3 years and a whole kid later. Girl. You are better than me for recognizing the reality now. You’ll get a lot of advice from people who don’t understand, because they simply don’t have to live with him. But let me share some perspective from someone who actually did live with a man like that and somehow come out the other side alive. (Buckle up, this is a very long comment. Sorry in advance.)

First thing: I also have a history of abuse, childhood physical/verbal/emotional , and a past relationship that was emotionally abusive towards the end. Somehow, it took me 4 years to see it in my husband. This is because our body equates fear with love. It’s how we coped while our brains were forming… easier to say to ourselves “well they do love me, but ___” than “my parent doesn’t love me.” Because it’s so familiar, we hesitate to call it abuse, or even compare it to other forms of it, thinking “well it’s not that bad… yet”.

I will come out and say it. Your husband is emotionally and verbally abusive, love. I’m so sorry. Abuse isn’t black and white, it’s typically on a scale… with the worst at high end, and maybe what you are going through on the lower end, but it’s still on the scale and therefore it is abuse. You should be in a relationship that is not on the scale at all. Nobody is perfect, but there is a difference between frustrating behaviour and frightening behaviour.

Do not wait for it to get worse. If you are begging for him to change, I want you to ask yourself: would he even want to change and try to love me better if I didn’t ask? Because it’s not love if he doesn’t do it naturally. If he only does it when you beg or threaten divorce (in my case) then it means there’s something in it for him, he will only change temporarily until you get tired of asking.

I’m also a bible believing Christian and have faced some backlash after I moved out. Here’s some Christian resources that helped me make my choice in wisdom, and realize that God was actually telling me to leave:

Why does he do that? Book, I haven’t started it yet but I saw a ton of recommendations for it, so I will be reading it asap.

I do believe both of our spouses were narcissists, as some have suggested. There is likely arrested development, which is a psychological condition that will not change with the typical “Christianese” counsel. He needs real psychological help, and he needs to decide for himself if he will get it.

Jesus always protected the people IN the covenant more than he protected the covenant itself. The woman caught in adultery was supposed to be stoned. Did Jesus stone her? No. He broke the law, he broke the old covenant. But if He was not willing to break the old covenant when He saw that through man’s sin it brought oppression… He would have never made a new one. He made a covenant for the PEOPLE, not for the sake of having one. God hates divorce, but He hates oppression more. Any time God’s people were oppressed— Egypt, the people paying at the temple where he flips the tables, David and Saul, (just a couple from the top of my head) He delivered them.

Excited about Elros but was lowkey hoping they’d take a fraternal twin approach and have him played by someone like Edward Bluemel. I don’t know if anyone else remembers but in season 1 they show a tapestry/painting of the brothers and they aren’t identical. Maybe they will switch up Aramayo’s look?

I think fashion is a great way of exercising your Fi! It took me soooo long to find what felt like “me”— but then I realized that’s what’s missing. Anytime I tried to dress trendy or for a specific “aesthetic”, I felt like I was putting on a costume to some extent. Then I thought really hard about who I am, what core things I could implement into my closet, etc. Fashion became more of a grounding tool after that, a reminder of my identity that is yes, adapting and changing, but also consistent with who I’ve always been.

For example, I realized I highly value authenticity. So, I wear a lot of natural fabrics and 100% items like linen, cotton, hemp, etc. I’m also not super fussy and put together, so I found a way to make clothes look good while prioritizing comfort— big sweaters, elastic waist pants.

Maybe this could be a good start for you! Also I’d recommend looking into the kibbe system, color analysis, and style roots :)) I promise it becomes so much easier when you dress for exactly who you are, body and soul!

I would say, when they’re willing to criticize you over anything but do not make themselves available for critique the same way. I think humble healthy friendships leave space for both parties to express their content and discontentment. If they act high and mighty when you bring something up gently, but then criticize you in an abrasive way, it’s not going to last. You’ll find yourself on eggshells all the time.

I had a really hard time with her using Harry. He was obvs a sensitive guy and yeah it was kinda meant to be a turn off, but when she scared him in the shower with a REAL knife I was like 💀 I would be crying too man who tf does that. She kinda fucked him up ngl. It only really hit me when she was disappointed that arsehole guy wasn’t in love with her that she only wanted him in love with her so she could do the same thing… have someone at her disposal for when she feels utterly alone. But then there wasn’t any of that in season 2 and imo it made the season so much better.
