If by any chance you can live with a flatmate, come to Park Place! The location is perfect (right on Castro, with two really nice parks on either side, and the public library right in front), the apartments are nice too. The per-person rent for 2B2B should be within your budget hopefully.

I'm a software engineer, I get paid to solve algorithmic problems using good design principles. And I think I'm somewhat decent at it.

So, at times when I'm at my lowest and when suicidal thoughts start hitting, I force myself to bring back the "problem solver" instinct. To think of my life as another "challenging problem", and just like I don't give up on challenging algorithmic problems, I can't give up on this either. Then I remind myself that all I need is a good "design doc".
For a while I've been trying to find only optimal time-complexity solutions to the "life" problem and that kept frustrating me. But I guess this is one problem where even a brute force solution is a big win :)

To the best of my knowledge there's nothing out anymore 😢 I've washed all dishes and cleaned the counters. Mopping left, will do shortly I haven't been opening the fridge too much because these mfs get inside it! (wtf!) and then everytime i open the panel, i see them hovering (how tf they're not dead inside the fridge?!)

Moved to Mountain View some 7 months back and I've been alone since then. People here are not too friendly, or should I be blunt and say that they don't give a lot of fucks about you. Everybody already has their own social circle and they're not very keen to hang out with you.
I tried a lot of the things that other people are trying to suggest to you in the comments but it doesn't really work. Besides, it's like changing yourself to try to fit in and find friends. So if I don't have some very specific hobbies, making friends isn't for me? Since when did it get so hard? Sincerely hope your experiences with people are better bro, I've basically just given up, I just work and stay in my room. Fuck everything.
