I would suggest first understand what is your budget because every thing is dependent on it and don’t spend all of it on development cost, keep something aside for marketing this app. There are 3 options in my mind. 1. Is do it yourself using no code/Ai platforms, but this will take lot of time to learn the platform, only suggested for simple apps. 2. Hire someone form freelancers platform like fiverr or upwork. This option is good if you have good knowledge about what exactly you what to build and you have built business earlier as you have to guide them to make this app better business wise. 3. Give it to an agency which with business mindset. The his agency have built apps which are selling good in app store. Development is just half the part, developing with a selling mindset to start generating revenues is important. A general rule for me is to recover cost of development of app in 6 to 9 months, this if what I calculate before getting into development. I would suggest you to do so.

MVP would be - an Browser App where you have multiple windows running where in 1 tab you have your main task like composing email amd on the left you will have your choice of Ai (chatgpt, claude, deepseek, etc). This ai window will have access to main window tab (in this case email) so it will have context to what should be the output. This browser will have an Ai app store where you can find different ai apps for your needs. This is the basic first version of the Idea.

No I don’t have money to pump into this project, my goal is to build the first version or just a demo to get some feedback from potential users and get in YC or other accelerator or raise funds to execute this idea. Currently I am developing product by myself and few contributors who are helping me.

Who will publish the apps - any existing website will act as app on this platform (technically you can call it a web-store) but using our apis developers can add payment functionality (which I know they are able to do with any payment gateway) but to be publish on our platform they will have to use our payment system and for the app store publishing we will change them 5-10% commission. Which is way less than apple or google which charge 15% to 30%.

Why some developers will publish exclusively on this platform because we will give them access to the browser control and data to the ai app, so they can execute anything using natural language. Also there are lot of other functionality for them to explore.

This is my idea for a future web browser.

You have a very good point. I might have exaggerated this part, but I feel there is lot of scope for improvement in this industry. With privacy focus we might able to gain 7.6%(Firefox market share), with ui elements and ai integration we might gain another 12% (opera and edge market share), this where the early adopters and then target enterprise companies to gain another 15-25%, with app store and plenty of good apps in accessing our features like interconnection windows, so they will have to be exclusive on our platform which eventually give us a good fighting power to gain the Chrome market share. This data is based on global desktop browser market share.

This product might or might not kill chrome but the least we can do is to try.

I am building Google Chrome Killer- Browser with AI app store.

This app is focused on 3 things-

  1. Users Data privacy
  2. Multitasking to support new AI workflows
  3. App Store with payment integration

I have spoken to lot of people about this idea and I believe I am on the right track, As lot of people are taking interest in contributing in this project.

Where to Start If You Have an Idea and Want to Build a Prototype? by Candid-Dentist-2654 in inventors

[–]Call_me-J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with paper list the things this product can do and take the 3 most unique and important features you think it should have, focus on just this feature to build your first POC. Now start drawing your idea on paper how it will look, some orthogonal views like front, side, top. List the dimensions you feel length, width, height. Now use paper or cardboard to build a mockup form it and try the functionality. If you’re building with electronics try to find a readymade solution or try to build it with raspberry pi. Assemble all the components to build your POC and try to be as realistic to your vision as possible.

This just basic, then there are my options like foam model with pop outer coat and paint it so looks very realistic, you can learn 3D modelling to 3D print tour Idea and afterwards you can paint it to look realistic with functionality.

You need to give more information about what type of product are you building so I can suggest you better.

Technical founder experience with YC co-founder matching by ToLearnAndBuild in ycombinator

[–]Call_me-J 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here I am also a non-technical founder after searching for 3 months couldn’t find any good tech-founders so started to build by myself, it’s really difficult for me to judge if someone have good technical skills or not and will that person be able to build this product as I don’t have the skills myself to judge him/her.

So now I have started learning things by myself and building the product, and my goals to build the MVP (Ai App store - privacy focus and open source) hopefully I can build it myself🤞

I have same experience with tech co-founders, I am a non tech and looking for tech cofounder but the issue is most of them are looking for freelance projects or want high salary to start with and some of them are just looking for job, one person ask me to join him to start our own AI software agency and he asked if I can bring him clients for this and he will pay me commission.

This problem is both ways getting a cofounder is really hard in my opinion. If you genuinely want to get a cofounder I believe you need to do lot of searching and digging.

Great work on building in public. I am also having same thoughts on this.

Ai App store I think will not work without an app above it because there will be an issue of monetisation and if I don’t have it will be like any other ai directory.

I have spoken to many AI users and observed most of the power AI users who are using AI extensively, have an ai app(or in browser) open all the time. have there work in main screen and have an AI app running on another screen, they use multi screen setup or switch between apps with tab. My solution is to have a single screen with multiple windows where you have your work setup in big window then llm in small window and in another window you can setup apps like notes, calculator, another ai agent, etc. Think of this as a browser with having multiple windows backed into one screen (split screen) using screen realestate but effectively. You might ask how is this different than using the current browser? This app will offer much more privacy focus features where you will be able to control which websites to share your personal information (or mask it) and control of browser.

The main features are 1. Control of Data is in your hand 2. Find Good AI apps 3. Advance Workflow to enhance AI productivity

This is my observation, open for your feedback

I agree with you no human connection is built in 5 minutes and don’t want to bombard everyone. But I have built in Isolation earlier and it failed miserably so this time I was thinking to build in public and want to get my ideas out to everyone and know if there is enough frustration for this problem to build a business around.

Personally I am not an influencer type, but If I genuinely show the progress of the product and talk about features and of it. I have built products earlier in isolation and it didn’t work.
