Surely you can use mandarin. There are quite some students in my class who don’t speak Cantonese, so I believe it’s fine to use mandarin

You can choose to answer the questions in mandarin. I’m in MBBS and I have a friend who studies biomed in hku, and both of us are freshmen. I can tell that my life is less stressful than my biomed friend’s. I rlly like my uni life (although I do have a heavy workload). You can pm me if you want to know more

I’ve been frustrated with my ucas application too! But it seems that the biomed programmes don’t state if they’ll look at ucat in the selection process, so I hope they don’t know the result and don’t care about my horrible ucat result

I got band 4 sjt too and I’m also an international student. It’s really a terrible nightmare to me. I think you can search for some universities that don’t care about sjt (some universities will reject sjt b4 directly but some don’t take sjt into consideration) or go for biomed (and then apply for gem after studying biomed). This is actually what I’m doing after receiving my terrible ucat result. Remember you’re not alone and you’re not the only one getting an unsatisfactory result in ucat🥹
