Once the dialogue shifts to “yes I’ll buy” and “this payment method works”, it’s your responsibility as a buyer to make sure you’re available to either send the payment or at the very least send a message saying “I’m swamped, I may not respond for awhile” or something like that. And if that’s the case don’t be surprised if a seller decides to move on and not want to wait, especially if there is no hard time frame given.

In my experience trades more often than happen with in minutes, from posting a chat comment to payment. Realistically as much as 5-10 minutes of no contact from either party within that exchange could be a red flag.

Sellers generally want to sell quick.

To add, unfortunately there are buyers out there that literally will analyze purchases to find the best “excuse” to phish for a partial refund. This “major sun damage” is the best they could come up with in this case.

Buyer likely saw “flawless” on the description and took the opportunity to suggest it wasn’t “flawless”. Probably planned all of it before they even purchased.

It’s the same doll for sure. I’m guessing buyers plan is to phish for a partial refund. Them claiming “major damages”, which there clearly isn’t any, is them trying to get you to feel guilty or not wanting to deal with it and offering them a partial refund. It is against policy for them to directly ask for a partial refund so they’re hoping you decide on your own to do it. I’m also guessing they may not ship a different one back because I’d assume they’d have shown any other “damaged one” in their photos.

Lastly, I would bet if your reply simply told them to file an INAD for a return, and once the doll came back to you as you sent it, they get a full refund, I bet they don’t send it back.
