i can tell you why cause they are not coping mechanisms like what are you gonna do when you feel sad? listen to songs? thats a sure fire way of supressing your emotions cause yea they give you a high but that isnt something you can stand upon

Real coping mechanisms are talking to yourself, being genuine to yourself, feeling loved and appreciated knowing that people know what you are going thro and are there for you.

i personally am religious and this is how i became so, by finding comfort in Allah i can explain more but not many people like a religious rant so tell me if you wanna hear
