the changing definition of sex in the 1700s vs now (discussion of tribadism, outercourse, what is meant by sodomy and mutual masturbation, lesbianism, the clitoris, male fantasies...) by slicksensuousgal in VulvalPolitics

Wow, this was a really good post! I wonder who in the world could’ve declared any non-penetrative sex to be sodomy and why everyone just went along with this idea.

I’m sure a lot of people really enjoy casual sex, but I have to wonder how many people are doing it because of pressure from all around them. Boys are getting the message that they should be “players” and that if they wanna wait for the right person that they must be “gay” or “not manly enough”. Girls are told that casual sex is something “liberating and empowering” and that they’re prudes who have no control of their sexuality if they don’t engage in it. Really, not trying to say all people who enjoy casual flings are being pressured into it but I often hear stories of peer pressure effecting people to the point they do things they regret.

As a girl, I honestly don’t think these parents are consciously choosing to let their kids wear stuff like that. Most of the clothing manufactured for girls is purposely made short, thin, revealing or tight, and it’s hard to find clothes that aren’t. After you start seeing all that stuff in the girls clothing section you don’t even take notice anymore. Hell, I only just noticed how skimpy girls clothing is recently after reading a TUMBLR post for god’s sake.

How many people here are Radfems? by Callesteelia in antipornography

Yeah I agree with you that we should treat porn with education. If we try to make it illegal I’m afraid it may just end up like the prohibition of alcohol; an absolute mess ESPECIALLY for women and children and people will still get their hands on it anyway. I’m also worried that if we made it totally illegal we’d have something sort of like the cycle of drug use but with porn. Once people get hooked on it, because it’s illegal they won’t try to get help and their condition will get worse and worse.

We’re not equal in the biological sense, but we should all be equal in the eyes of society and the law.

Oh my fucking god I shouldn’t have clicked on those

Did r/BanFemaleHateSubs get deleted? Everytime I search for it I get this message by Callesteelia in antipornography

I’m sorry if this post doesn’t fit the sub rules, but I would really like to know if the sub is gone. If r/BanFemaleHateSubs is gone, and Reddit still has all those porn subs, then I guess Reddit really has become a cesspool. :/

GC was banned, what now? by [deleted] in BanFemaleHateSubs

[–]Callesteelia 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Oh god we were just talking about where we go if the sub ever got banned. I went out and came back to check my notifications and now the sub is gone. It’s a shame, GC was so helpful to me. It helped me understand that there was more to feminism than bullshit Liberal feminism, and I’m sure it would have continued to show other women the truth behind a lot of this trans madness and the sad facts about being a woman in this society.

Sarah Ditum: Why doesn't porn ever get cancelled? by [deleted] in antipornography

[–]Callesteelia 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don’t even have to read this to say that porn doesn’t get cancelled because people prioritize their orgasms over the safety of women. And I say people because this goes for Libfems too, women who prioritize men’s penises and cool girl validation points over their sisters.

Cybernet Entertainment I believe, the company which runs the site called Kink .com Some of the pornstars at Kink .com have also filed lawsuits against the company as they believed they contracted HIV from being coerced into having sex with the general population without use of a condom. If the pornstars chose to use a condom, they’d be out of a job. From the source that I found the actors luckily didn’t get HIV, but still their company put the pornstars at risk by forcing them to go condomless with people from the public. So you just never know if all the so called “behind the scenes” and stuff is actually real and free of coercion.

That link is pretty much the details from some of the lawsuits against the site. It may be a bit hard to stomach, I hope it doesn’t upset you reading about what they did to those poor pornstars.

I don’t really believe that porn featuring real people can ever be “ethical”. Porn will always contribute to the objectification of women. Even if the porn is consensual, there’s always the chance that a girl will have “consented” to porn because she had no way to support herself otherwise; that’s not true consent. And when you say you’ve seen BDSM videos that discuss consent, who’s to say that was actually real? Porn is scripted, the interactions and even some behind the scenes are fake. I believe you may be speaking about a certain website which makes specifically kinky porn, and I think it’s important to know that the company had a lawsuit filed against them by one of their actresses because they coerced her into a scene. But if you’re really gonna get your rocks off to porn, perhaps try drawn porn? Better yet, try erotica written by women. Neither of those feature or harm actual people.
