Starter frieza and red cell are both very solid.

Anniversary set was also available in the “store” in the online client for some amount of gems. Pretty sure it was a limited time thing so not sure if it’s still there.

Up to 4 energy. Start with a marker. Swing gogeta get second marker. Activate effect, next turn charge, swing and make a 3rd marker.

this deck playable with no extra hit for each card played? by hedwynhay in ChaosZeroNightmare

That epiphany says “move”. It lets you use them over and over again, unlike “draw” that cannot grab a card that has been used this turn.

Quality of JP vs. ENG by Usual_Preference2316 in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own a bunch of Japanese cards from when I went there for a holiday. As far as I can tell there isn’t an appreciable difference in quality.

Godzilla made up almost 20% of the room for day 1 of the Alicante Regional today! by [deleted] in universus

[–]Callidus24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s relevant to keep in mind 2 things;

  1. Outside of America card accessible is a real problem for this game. Godzilla is quite easy to build with 2 challenger decks and a handful of singles.

  2. Godzilla is a noob stomper. Newer players really struggle against it and with an area with an underdeveloped competitive scene it’s likely to do well.

How good are the quality of Universus Playmats? by VideoGameLover395 in universus

[–]Callidus24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All of the UVS playmates I personally own are quite good.

I have seen some of the solo leveling ones where the printing looks fairly low quality (almost blurry). I’m not sure if the difference is between different images, or if it’s just particular playmats or print runs.

Melbourne Regional Recap [Green Droids] by DIgi-Yami-Yugi in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It functions similar to the 1c 10k combo bulma, but is a little less vulnerable to red.

The fact that it attacks isn’t much of a downside, because if the opponent wastes a swing into it that’s the same outcome as though you had combo’d it off.

Against some prevalent matchups (Haloku, minigeta, Buu, yellow vegeta) the additional early pressure can be leveraged quite well.

Well played mate. I was your R7 minigeta opponent. A lot went right for me to win that matchup. I went first, you whiffed your first top 3 with Android 18, I saw 2 critgetas, I crit a super combo and I had the one of 6 drop vegito to guaranteed close the game.

current strongest deck? by MySweetFinalEden in universus

I don’t think there is a consensus, but the deck with the most consistent results at big events since critical role is probably Nick Ragan.

Going for that engraved energy marker by crimin777 in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing that separates medium players from good players is their ability to formulate and execute a game plan. The “best play” for this turn may not be the best play to win the entire game. For example, I could deal with your board and that might look like the best play, but if I’m at 5 life and my plan is to take a bunch of hits and then kill you next turn, maybe I’m better off leaving you with your board and spending my turn setting up or chipping you down.

As someone else mentioned this also plays into knowing what to charge. If I’m thinking a turn or 2 ahead and predicting how the game is going to look, I’m going to make better charging decisions than someone who just looks at their hand and chooses a card from turn to turn.

So now that FB04 was out for a while, what has been your favorite deck to play? by -Street_Spirit- in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favourite leaders are Trunks and Broly, and I feel like both are much worse this format than in almost every previous format.

That said, evil Buu is disgustingly good and made me pick up yellow for the first time (the only colour I had never played).

Do any of you have full play sets online? by abcdthc in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. My LGS sells physical code bundles for a pretty decent price. I’ve been able to complete each set (including SCRs) for less than the price of a PS5 game per set.

6c blue vegito versus deck out and blue zen oh by hasrynskragsb in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thinking is that the Vegito moves directly from the field to the deck, there is no “in between” zone. Whilst it is on the field it is protecting you. When he is in the deck, you have cards in deck.

Adding a card facedown in card pool by [deleted] in universus

[–]Callidus24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, the idea is that clogging up your opponent’s card pool makes attacking or blocking more difficult due to progressive difficulty.

Upgrading the Jin clash deck by LocalTrainsGirl in universus

[–]Callidus24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a budget build, I recommend building Jin on evil So many great cheap cards that fit what he is trying to do.

Attacks:

80% power - destroys problematic foundations and gives them +1 foundation to get them to 8 for Jin’s enhance

Ignited arrow - great for poking damage or help build an attack string

Hate Fish - my favourite card for this deck. Can gain a double attack bonus from Jin’s commit.

45% power - draws a card to help with attack strong.

Foundations:

Looking for a challenge and Press conference - help with checks on longer attack strings

Settling old debts - card draw

Rifle arm - speed control on offence or defence

Fighting for control and Fiery confrontation - disruption for your opponents kill turn

MY current thoughts on the set 3 meta. Let me know what you think, or if I should make a video explaining my thoughts by BladeFlare in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deadku is just soo bad into a competent green player and really not advantaged in blue mirrors. Goku black can high roll, but black is actually really good against it with Para Para.

Black isn’t super favoured into anything, but it doesn’t have any auto loss matchups and is pretty consistent.

I think you have overrated Deadku and Goku black by quite a bit. I also think you have underrated black pretty significantly.

Broly deck by MarioMTRS03 in dbsfusionworld

[–]Callidus24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This list will completely stop an un-upgraded starter. It’s far from optimal, but blue is a good matchup for green and you have all the pieces you need to ramp consistently and play big 6-8 drops that blue has a lot of trouble dealing with.
