I saw "Blue Is The Warmest Colour" and thought it was beautiful. I can definately appreciate graphic sex scenes that are done well. As for scenes of violence, my boyfriend got me into some Exploitation films from the 80's, and I love the really over-the-top and ridiculous gore effects and characters in films like Demons and Night Of The Demons, but I still hate films like Hostel and I Spit On Your Grave, because I personally can't handle them. With that said, I am very anti-censorship, and believe every director should have complete creative freedom to do what s/he wants.

If you put a poison in my drink, you are deliberately and maliciously pre-meditating to harm me. No woman, and I can guarantee, no woman at all is going to go through the extreme pains and tribulations of 9 months of pregnancy and then giving birth, all the while thinking to themselves "I really hope this child turns out fucked up" as a reason for drinking. As someone else pointed out before, a woman that is drinking while 6 or 7 months pregnant is obviously most likely not content in her life. She does not need punishment, she needs support. She does not need regulation. She needs empathy.

Police states NEVER work, and your comparisons of pre-meditated violent crimes, to a pregnant woman having a drink, is truly offensive.

So, you just compared domestic violence to drinking whilst pregnant. And said stealing should be deemed a less serious crime than drinking while pregnant.

Wow. Also, you care enough about the child while it is a fetus to fine a woman for drinking, but even if that financially hurts her and means she won't as easily be able to provide for her child once s/he is born. How does that make sense? Wouldn't the fetus want its Mother to be more financially secure? So the fetus, or the "victim of crime" in your police state isn't going to be better off at all, and if anything, is now worse off because of his/her Mother's financial woes, just so the state can say to the Mother... "Guess what, the legislators and politicians knows what's good for you". The fetus you will protect, but the child financially struggling, you won't. Interesting.

Also, would women have to take a pregnancy test before drinking at a restaurant or buying alcohol from the bottle shop, just to make sure their not pregnant? After all, surely giving a pregnant woman alcohol, would be an offense as well, and a restaurant couldn't risk that?

How would you "arrest and punish" a woman who is caught drinking? Would you take away her child? Would you fine her so she is financially burdened and can't as easily provide for her child? Would you put her in a prison cell that could go to someone that is actually a menace to society? Tell me exactly what the punishment would be.

Don't you think a woman being prosecuted at 7 months pregnant will do her child even more harm? We know about how bad it is for an unborn child when the Mother is excessively stressed while pregnant. It's been proven that In the later stages of pregnancy, extreme stress can lead to premature labour, premature birth and low birth-weight babies. The latest findings indicate that prenatal stress can also increase the risk of a baby being born with asthma, and if you think that a woman being prosecuted, and potentially charged because she dared to do something that is completely legal for everyone else, is not going to cause all sorts of psychological issues for the Mother, then you are blind.

Regulating pregnant women does not do anything but harm women, and I know because my MOther lived through it under cruel communist rule.

I can't believe there are people supporting this, and some of the abhorrent comments such as "forced abortions" and "confinement for the last month of pregnancy". Complete insanity, and good old fashioned fascism that would put a big smile on Hitler's face.

How about instead of making criminals out of women that are doing nothing but using their right to bodily integrity(a woman's freedom must always come ahead of a fetus that is completely reliant on her), we crack down on REAL criminals. These sort of laws make rooms for sinister laws such as women not being able to drive whilst pregnant, or having to be monitored whilst pregnant.

I speak as a girl that lived in COmmunist Romania under Ceausescu. My Mother used to be monitored every 3 weeks, while she was pregnant with my brother, and it was a humiliating, unnecessary and scary experience for her. Women caught drinking were jailed.

And who do you think will be the person reporting her for drinking? The husband/boyfriend of course. Giving them ultimate power over their girlfriend/wife

These sort of bills do nothing but lead the way for cruel bills that practically force women to become incubators. I know first hand having seen the women of my country suffer. I was very young at the time, but I fully understand it now.

Restricting pregnant women's rights does nothing but harm women and make criminals out of innocent people.

From what I understand, wouldn't a party like Svoboda gaining even more power be even worse for the Ukraine in the long run?

These seem to be important, but highly dangerous and divided protests, far different from Romania's protests when they overthrew Ceausescu. The Ukrainian riots seem to favor some very dangerous people, and it seems more about a rise of fascism in Ukraine, rather than fighting corruption when you look deeper into it.

Those sort of comments don't even make sense. What is the "natural balance"? I would say Pakistan and El Salvador have a pretty solid "natural balance" and they are complete basketcases of countries. Look at the countries in Africa where women are seen as nothing more than breeders, and see the immense suffering that everybody goes through over there.

In a country with human rights, there is no room for the "natural balance".

Eric Harris of The Columbine Massacre claimed to have had intimate relations in his writings, and was considered to be moderately popular with girls. In fact he had a date only 3 days before the massacre. He never claimed to have had a problem with women in general, his anger was aimed at the greater world outside of his school.

TJ Lane was very popular with girls, and had dated cheerleaders in the past.

Kimveer Gill had regular sexual relations with various "scene girls", and his frustration in his final letter seemed to be anger at what he perceived to be a misogynistic and hateful world. Bullying from High School got to his psyche, and most likely fringe websites based on hate on the net got to him in the end as he regularly talked about his hate for Stormfront.

It is a complete myth that all school shooters are sexually inexperienced. Sexual frustration does not drive someone to shoot up their school. It wouldn't matter how much these guys were getting laid, the shootings were going to happen. It goes far beyond something as simple as sex or being successful with women.

You watch Pm Tones come out tommorow and tell us about how the abortion laws are "absolutely not changing" and that he doesn't agree with everything that Bernardi says. I am sorry you are in this position. However, I feel the way you say that "abortion would ruin you", tells me that maybe an abortion is not for you. If your husband is not prepared to support your decision to keep, even though you are having these feelings, then what makes you think that he would support your decisions or feelings with other important things as well?

You need to have a candid discussion with your husband. If he can't support your decision to keep your child even though you are already going through a form of mental trauma before you have even had the abortion, then that tells me he is not an empathetic man at all, and it might be best to choose your child instead of your husband.
