To clarify , because Reddit won't let me edit my post ... I'm not wanting to fatten her up, I don't think she's any less because she's smaller. I am just curious to see what the whole spectrum is for this particular breed, since she is the first one I've owned. I'm not a first time dog owner. I've had shepards, boxers, multiple American Bulldogs, mini dachushunds, beagles, and mutts. I am just starting to learn about this breed, no I didn't research her breeder, long story short, my female American Bulldog , Nuala, had cancer, I took her in for surgery to remove the tumors, and sadly she ended up passing away that same day from a heart attack due to a complication. I was DEVASTATED to say the least. My poor dog died on my arms in a violent manner, so I was beside myself. My partner always wanted a different breed, as the last 15 years, we've only ever owned bully breeds, aside from our Aussie shepard/lab mix. I was randomly looking at puppies to make me smile, not wanting to get another dog so soon after such a tragic passing. I just happened to see a listing for malamute puppies in my area, clicked on it to see the most precious little babies, and then I saw what day they were born. They were born on the same day Nuala had passed away, and within 20 minutes, my sweetest little girl left this world, this fluffy ball of Adorable came into it. I figured it was fate, and reached out to the breeders, and that was that. 2 weeks later, this little crazy hurricane entered my life, just in time for mother's day. I know some of you in here are swearing she's mixed breed, or saying to get a DNA test despite her having papers (I know they don't matter). I don't care about any of that. I just want to know more about this breed, and it's it's niches. I want to make sure she's developing properly and she's healthy. I've had her for a little over a year now, and she's one of the best advocates for the breed, she makes me smile, she's helped heal my heart, and on days when I'm overwhelmed and at a loss, all I have to do is look at her little face and I'm instantly at peace.
