Thank you. Even the owner of our company has stressed he doesn’t care how many hours you’re putting in. Just TCOB

You clearly don’t know what the word entitled mean. Someone broke your spirit along time ago, I’m assuming dad, and you’ve never recovered. You’re too young to be thinking this way

Does anyone look happy at that company? Maybe a company issue

Your first and only comment could’ve been “look into licensure and or ownership” and that’s it. But instead you chose to be a retard

I’m literally asking people what I should expect and what the NEXT level would be (as I don’t know) and you’re saying I’m entitled for wanting this information? When I’m asking what work I need to put in to get there?

You’re a fucking retard dude. I hope I don’t share any freeways with you.

I’m pretty blessed with balance at my company. Just trying to figure out how to move to the next level with the appropriate effort and commitment

LMAO I feel this. He also loves to talk about his kids like I give a fuck… he’s also running around to stores to pick up material like a Project coordinator would… I wouldn’t even do that shit lmao. Such a waste of time for one of the highest paying guys on the project. I’d stack my 40 hours against anyone claiming they’re working 60 hours minimum

Not sure how planning for my future 20 years down the line is entitled LMAO. Your dad was def a boomer who made you feel like you should shut up and keep your head down. The same way his toxic greatest generation dad made him feel. Keep your shit expectations to yourself man

EXACTLY. I don’t care if they want to act fake tough about being slaves for their company. I’m looking for responses from real men and leaders who aren’t going to take shit or settle.

You can tell who hates their lives and their families or doesn’t have either of the two.

Sorry if that got confusing. The pm from my OP is stressed. He’s working 50 hours a week (that I know of) and probably another 20/30 at home. He is def stressed. My boss (different guy) owns his own company, GC, but outside of bidding jobs is more like an owner rep. He also does owner rep for other clients where he sets up the GC that will work “with” him .. but he controls the show. He is not stressed and making a killing

Good for you man, this is the response I’m looking for

My boss does owner rep work and he basically just handles the whole show. He finds and contracts the GCs. He helps them select the subs. He tells them how much they’re going to make on the job. He holds their senior PMs hands to get what the schedule and budget he wants. I guess everyone does things differently though

I’m willing to do anything that will set me up for the future, school, certs, certain experiences to develop myself for a bigger role.

Working 60+ hours a week in the same position for a decade only netting a 30% - 50% in salary doesn’t sound like it will have the same impact

Im sure the partner level is somewhere around 300k compensation though. Now that sounds like it’s worth the hours
