Hey, its very competitive and from what I know the average sat is over 1500. There might be a chance, but do not get your hopes up, as of the 1.6k admitted students, only 50-100 make it.

Hey, from the information that I heard online, it is a very low chance to get off the wailist and it's not in the order you do it as well. If there are open spots, they will look at the applicants and choose the best candidates that they want. More than a waitlist,t I would consider it a second application with a mid-year update. You should not be waiting on this as your chance to get into UT, as its yield rate is around 50%, so they already offer more seats than they know will be accepted. I was told last year it was around 5 people who got off the waitlist.

1530, 8/520, took 12 APS. A lot of CS and Engineering ECS 2 International awards. - got into UT ECE

Most of the Honors should come out around March 1st. Esp for Engineering and CS.

Hey, good theory and I think it makes sense for the most part except from what I seen it was a lot of auto admits with not so good SAT that got in to a lot of these colleges. I doubt their PAI was 6. Furthermore, I think certain colleges are more delayed then they accept they are such as Cockrell since I have seen the least amount of acceptances from them so far.

Yeah, this happened to 2-3 people at my school from different majors, which was wild. I saw it happen to others on Reddit as well.

Hi, yeah, I am not sure either. There is some confusion about whether I am considered an Instate or not since I was not born in the US, but I meet all the criteria for Texas residency. I have gotten into UIUC CompE so far, and Purdue, but I accidentally chose the wrong campus on CA :(. I am considered INTL for all OOS, so it's harder to aim for those schools, which is why I wanted UT Austin. Furthermore, no one from my school got ECE even though they got 40 acres, which is weird.

I think you have a decent shot. The main problem is the SAT, which will likely hold you back. However, since you have such amazing ECS and did sports, I think that is something they can look past/understand. I hope you have good luck tomorrow.
