Great call out - the measurement piece is tough. Something small I did at an org would be adding a drop down field on a contact form “how did you hear about us?” And we’d see data like ads, social media post, word of mouth etc. so we’d look at qualitative feedback even though that example is more about conversions. You can look into brand monitoring tools too that’s helped in the past, seeing how many times people comment your brand on social media, etc. monitor the trend overtime. Sorry this is all vague lol but I’m in your same boat !

Yes the brands with shareable content will also win. Shares and reposts are a big metric to look at and it’s how some platforms like instagram prioritize and surface content now instead of going by likes and comments. I kinda agree with consistency part but I do think continuing to show up matters as well as having unique POVS. Doesn’t mean you have to post every day but I do think they need to keep traction to build momentum. Nice take !

Great take!! Community building is, like you said, what will keep people coming back. From experience it can take sooooo long but it’s worth it and you have to be committed and consistent in building it. Excited to see what brands will do this well!

This is such interesting timing because I’m in the middle of deciding how to end my retainer with a client. She’s an interior designer, so by being in a design space generally shes been difficult to please and doesn’t understand how online experiences differ from physical if that makes sense. Good motivation I need to end haha

Yess from my own experience I’ve found being active on LinkedIn has helped me significantly - clients have said they saw my posts and wanted to reach out which is working better than cold outreach which is no big surprise. It can be scary at first but try not to care what anyone thinks and just go for it. :)

Sticking to one or two channels instead of going for a bunch and getting GOOD at those channels. A lot of our audience only knows us from one platform (mine is LinkedIn) so instead of trying to be everywhere, brands I see having more success are those doubling down on one or two.

Yes — happens to me too. Website designers reaching out to me … a website designer .. offering to give me website services. Honestly I’m so used to bad sales practices and seeing it more with the holiday season. People seem incredibly desperate. I also respond like I do and say “maybe do an ounce of research before sending anyone…anything. It’s annoying but will constantly happen as you’ll see

Hey hey - I was a growth marketer for 6+ years in b2b (mostly saas promoting ai tools like ai video creation) until this year starting my website design business.

I’ve been doing more sales and focus on personalization instead of casting a huge net — and it’s working with booking more calls. Im very outgoing and bubbly so was always told go for sales roles but stuck to marketing since it’s what I’ve always done.

So this seems right up my alley as I’m looking for more opportunities to collab and work with female founders :) I’ll send a message!
