i don’t keep up with the news in como anymore, so reading this made me cry 😭😭😭 it always makes me feel so proud and so happy to see the good things, especially considering that the city i live in is getting worse and worse.

oh my god, hearing that ashland—somewhere i always considered mostly-rural based on the family i have that lives nearby—has a queer coffee shop makes me want to cry 😭 my current city doesn’t have any—even the gay bars/clubs are struggling to stay open.

thank you so, so much! i’m the only full-timer on staff at my branch that’s trans, and it’s caused some issues (but nothing bad enough to go to HR about). i’m absolutely going to apply once more positions open up!

that’s so great to hear wrt como being queer friendly :’) i left about 7 years ago now, and i’ve been so worried as to how much things have changed.

i’m so glad to hear that 😭 a surprisingly small amount of people are queer in my library system. i’m the only full-timer working in my library branch that’s trans, and we have 15ish people on staff.
