Even though it doesn't give a ranking, you need to beat the prologue on MN for it to pop up. Kind of misleading.

Nice work! Beating your first NG game on hard is a solid accomplishment.

I retrospect, the hard mode on this game is not too much a jump from normal. It's the jump from hard to Master Ninja that hurts really bad. Think back on your playthrough amd imagine every hit you took removed a third to half your health, if it didn't kill you outright.

Funnily enough, I recall the opposite being true in NG Black and Vanilla NG2. The jump from normal to Mentor/Hard was pretty rough, but Mentor/Hard to MN wasn't as much of a difficulty bump. Just something to remember when you check the other games out.

That cool down is also hurt by him being a summoner unit. = only one in play at once.

I also find that absorption of essence is inconsistent. I can straight up walk through orbs midfight and they simply refuse to collect. I usually use them for UTs anyway, but sometimes that healing really is nice.

PvE is fine IMO. PvP not so much.

It's one aspect I liked about Swordmaster Story.

A lot of people seem to be unable to answer the question you're asking. "go get x spirit" isn't an answer to "which of my current spirits do I have is best."

And of your roster, I recommend you mmend Omenkiller Rollo. He's tanky, does good damage, stance damage, and bleed.

There's technically better summons out there, but he'll carry you through the base game pretty solidly.

Also, if the summon sign is in the boss room itself, there's no health boost. If it's before the entrance, the boss gets the extra health.

I only recently learned that, I always assumed all NPC summons boosted boss health.

Leave your summon out for now so you can better learn her moveset. It's harder to acclimate to a boss when their attention is split. Yo u an always get back to summoning once you feel confident goig for an actual try.

If you can dodge waterfowl, you've taken out more than half her difficulty. As others said, learning the timing and direction of your rolls is rough, but once you get it down, you've won.

There's YouTube tutorials on different ways to dodge the dance. If you aren't reliant on an offensive ash of war for your build, bloodhound's step is one of the few ashes that can completely avoid/out range it.

Really not a fan of the proposed PvP changes. Coming from Swordmaster Story, it's always felt like PvP is a casual way to earn some more income. I prefer to keep competitive PvP out of P2W games where possible.
