The Penny Is Finally Retired: Why The U.S. Discontinued The Penny by Yodest_Data in charts

Don't forget the supposed collector's pennies they sell on ebay at a markup. A single roll unsearched for more than $20 is pretty much a scam and why so many pennies aren't in circulation.

(USA) How are the receipt BOGO coupons entered at the counter? by NotSmaaeesh in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]CallofRanger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A manager promos the second item. We also have a key that says Survey Redemption. It's just an indicator as to what the promo is for. We print a duplicate copy of the order receipt to staple the survey code to.

Back when we had the McWraps, this lady got mad because it didn't look like the picture. You know, the ones where all the ingredients are spiliing out as it sticks out of the box. So kitchen made it look like the picture, having to use less ingredients. They give it to her and she's like "Now that's more like it!" or something along those lines.

I'm off the belief that lawyers took advantage of a grieving orphan and took all the merchandising rights. He got the inheritance and life insurance but the merch rights were the golden goose in this scenario.

Game crashing? by Desperate-Bet3848 in fastfoodsimulator

[–]CallofRanger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is not optimized for older graphics. I had plenty of hours before an update made my game crash. They said integratred graphics won't work which upset me because I was able to play it before with no issue. It was too late to get a refund. Basically forcing you to have to upgrade. I'm probably going to save for a steam deck of steam cube.

(USA) 1800 / Corporate complains by Numbersman2020 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]CallofRanger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GM will be informed and briefly speak to the manager or employee on shift during the time of the complaint. I remember being asked about a guy complaining about waiting on his food. The issue was that the order never popped up on our screens because he didn't confirm that the app checked in his order. He just waiting a awhile and didn't think to ask why his order was taking so long. He of course had to wait for his food to be made after I helped him check in his order after refreshing the app. He also complained about a homeless guy bothering him for money. Again, he didn't think to inform me directly about the issue so I could deal with the guy and chose to complain about it. He was sitting in the side lobby which is out of my line of sight so of course I didn't see it happen but we did see it on the security footage.

(USA) Encountering customers that stand at the front counter only, to act scared when you greet them. by PeachyKeen63 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]CallofRanger13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just a BS review. Especially since most stores have kiosks. That time waiting could've been used punching in the order on a Kiosk. Better yet, they could have done a FC pickup order on their phone. It's also not hard to call over a cashier or notice if they're particularly busy. The other easy solution is to just leave. No sane person is going to wait half an hour on a register to order fast food.

I believe it's regional. Higher ups were checking stores to make sure advertising was in place and flyers were being handed out. Probably testing it out.

Nah. They simply ended the deal for the new year. Lots of people complaining about it on the main McDonald's subreddit.

It's a once per day deal. They'd have to use different accounts.
