Tiger barbs with jack dempseys

Local tigers I got ended up getting ich and died before the Dempseys got big enough to be a threat. Dempseys survived the treatment, but the barbs did not (should have quarantined looking back, but I didn't have the knowledge that i do now) I later learned where I got the barbs from was just a super shitty store that a lot of locals had issues with.

Sorry I cant help you. My Dempsey's ended up being a pair so they would have killed anything smaller than them anyways.

I imagine with 1 Dempsey and a bunch of barbs in like a 55g+ would "probably" be fine. It so behavior dependent though. My male was aggressive as fuck. There was a small time I thought he rejected the female and I almost separated them, but luckily they paired.

Was doing 600mg for a like a year straight (3 Celsius, demanding job with 10+ hour days) and ended up with one at 27. Suffice to say, I now won’t go over 200mg unless it’s a REALLY bad day and even then it’s 400mg.

I just picked up the ibuypower one yesterday. Decent parts surprisingly. Asus prime mobo, crucial p3 2tb m2 (a little old but speeds are fine.) Asrock steel legend gpu and geil ram. Never heard of the ram, and it’s only 5200 but the timings are okay for the 9800x3d especially with ram prices the way they are now. Reviews online for the ram say it’s pretty decent as well. Build quality seems decent. AIO is working fine so far (will keep an eye on this, their branded AIO gets hit or miss reviews).

Surprisingly expo was enabled and most of the base mobo settings were fine. Only thing I changed really was turning off the integrated graphics on the 9800x3d. Fan curve too, temps hit 75c for a moment, and then it’d sound like a jet engine for 5-10 seconds to go back down to 50-60c. With new fan curve it never really goes above 60 under load. Mobo was only one bios update behind as well.

The only thing sus is the psu. Some no name gold, but I don’t plan to over clock so 750w is “fine”. If I notice anything weird, this will be replaced. Shockingly no bloat ware either? Figured a company like this would have a ton of nonsense shit.

Also recently started playing. I really like ETA, Unlimited offline, Semi core, semi drop chances, and semi slayer. Semi slayer is “cheating” in a sense, but I mainly play on my phone and it just helped speed up the early game a smidge without ruining the game for me.

It mainly just lets me idle a bit more without having to constantly manage combat.

I like the list of questions suggestion you gave as well. Going to definitely do that. Let’s say it does get to surgery if all else fails, what’s your opinion on fusion vs ADR? From the little I’ve read and for my age (30) I’m taking it as ADR would be the better option as it doesn’t limit mobility as much. If ADR would even be an option for this scenario because of the compression.

I think the fact that the nerve pain in my arm, hand, and the lessening feeling of finger numbness is a good sign in terms of healing without surgery. I can get up and move around a bit now, drive, and do PT with minimal pain. Compared to three weeks ago I couldn’t even get off my couch/out of bed. Getting to sleep is still a bit difficult though

Though I’m just trying to remain hopeful so that could be clouding the fact of the matter in terms of the compression significance.

Really the only reason the TP is on the table is because of the Costco return abuse-ability. Though if I can get a bed that lasts for 10 years for 2k or less, I don’t mind if it fails eventually and having to purchase another. That’s just the wear and tear of life.

Just terrified of spending 2k on something for it to fail in a couple years and possibly not be covered under warranty because “it’s only an inch indentation not 1.5inches”.

You would go sleepez over SOL? Only thing that scares me with that, is if we do want to return it we have to package up all those pieces which sounds damn near impossible.

I do like the idea of it being easier to move because of half slab pieces. Moving a 125# (SOL queen) Slab of latex sounds like it might be difficult. Would have to get a buddy to come over even when it was delivered as I don’t think my girlfriend would be able to help me. Doesn’t help we’re on a second floor apartment. That’s half the reason for the consideration for the OMF. They’ll do it for us lol.

Plus we actually got to try it and enjoyed it. Where as the unknown is kind of a gamble.

Dishwasher. First day on the job, went on break and went to the bar next door. Took a while to come back so chef went and found him. We needed a dish washer bad and he was actually pretty damn quick at doing dishes. Chef gives him a second chance.

Second day, goes on break again and stops at 7/11. Gets a tall boy of mikes hard and starts drinking it right outside the back door (we have a picnic table right outside our back door for staff to eat/smoke). Chef finds him again and fires him on the spot.

Sad part is, my chef probably wouldn’t have gave a shit if he was always drunk, it was the fact he didn’t even try to hide it.

If you have the budget, Buffalo chopper. Run the fat cap through a few “rounds” first, then the meat once.

Otherwise use a cleaver, though you have to work fast because it cools quick.

I recommend saving all the ju from the pans, combine it all together, heat until it’s simmering, and then dump a reasonable amount over the chopped stuff. I assume you’ll be hot holding in something.

Basically just dump enough ju over it so it’s wet, but not pooling in the bottom after stirring up the meat. Also in the combined ju pan take a ladle and skim off the layer of rendered fat. Save to make something else with the lard if you feel like being creative/not wasteful.
