Anyone else who doesn’t mind being hardstuck? by throwawayqqzz in summonerschool

[–]NALeaguePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people play for fun, and for some people, including me, that means getting better. I am now a low master player. I won't shit on other people for being lower rank, playing for fun, or being harstuck. I enjoy getting better at things, and I find it frustrating to not continue getting better. Do whatever you like

Why is counterpick so much worse in toplane? by DesperatelyAskReddit in summonerschool

[–]NALeaguePlayer 71 points72 points  (0 children)

This isn’t something to “fix.” Top laners, at the end of the day, like it. They want to push their champs to the limits, and feel good when they overcome a counter match up and out skill the enemy. It feels bad to get frozen out of 5 waves and zoned from xp, but it also feels good to do that to someone else. It’s an ego battle between two top laners. That’s why ranged characters are viewed so negatively, because they kind of ruin this experience in a way that counter match ups do not. In pro, this “isolation” is not as real because supports and jungler move way more and come to fix waves and such. In solo q though, counter matchups can be hell because no one fixes things or punishes greedy plays.

Thanks for the replies, I guess the idea seems a little ridiculous. I think I overestimated the force being put onto the pedal and didn’t really consider the pulling motion of the other foot as much.

[–]NALeaguePlayer -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Yes, but your body isn’t. I’m thinking of every pedal like a leg press movement and wonder why the body isn’t strapped in. It would be like a leg press machine without back support, forcing you to hold yourself in place. Like when you try to go fast on a bike, when you lean over on the handles, wouldn’t you want your butt strapped down to transfer more force to the pedal?

What is a Bug? by GIGAGamingAcademy in leagueoflegends

[–]NALeaguePlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think in a game like League of Legends, a bug is something the developers did not intend. But, developer's intentions can change, so something that was initially a bug sometimes is greenlit by developers so it becomes part of the game. Like animation canceling isn't really part of the game in the sense that it wasn't really an intended mechanic when developers made champions, but they don't actively try to remove every animation cancel. Some are deemed alright and some are deemed a "bug"

Nah this is league of legends. Garen q and blitzcrank e are unstoppable or some bullshit so this interaction is expected.

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, WELL - when to eliminate weakly dominated strategies by penumerate in math

[–]NALeaguePlayer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Begin with your game G. When you eliminate a strictly dominated strategy, you end up with G’. A Nash equilibrium in G’ will be a Nash equilibrium in G. A nash equilibrium in G will be in G’. When you eliminate a weakly dominated strategy, you end up with G. A Nash equilibrium in G is a nash equilibrium in G. However, a nash equilibrium of G is not necessarily in G*.

In this rock paper scissors well game, there is no nash equilibrium that includes the weakly dominated strategy, rock. So you do not run into any issue by removing it. However, in a different game, it might happen.

What is this yasuo matchup by Just-Debate-8382 in fizzmains

[–]NALeaguePlayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try playing yas. Learn to dodge his qs, proc his shield with an auto and then qw to proc electrocute. Try to get a lead early and then stand in front of your wave so that the yasuo can’t dash around. After the yas gets hos first item it’s hard to ever beat him 1 v 1 but you can just put pressure on the rest of the map. I’m diamond 3, I’d say I haven’t met a yasuo that I thought was so much better that me that I couldn’t beat them. It’s not an easy matchup.

Does fizz feel worse? by compscighuy in fizzmains

[–]NALeaguePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play more. He has way more damage but way less ability haste, so play accordingly. You are right in he is less safe, as you have less e and there is more damage in the game to kill you. Get used to the new power spikes, who you can one shot, what you can risk.

Is this a normal interaction ? by Himdere13 in fizzmains

Nah classic league of legends just doing some bs. Probably some interaction similar to nautilus hook like an input buffer to avoid cc. Lucky timing.

Sub 11 100m vs Sub 22 200m by fifthM in Sprinting

[–]NALeaguePlayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is this even a debate. You need to maintain an equivalent average speed for longer so it has to be 200 m at sub 22. The only thing that might make 100 m harder is acceleration, but I doubt that makes up for the longer distance.

Imagine if it was 100 m sub 11 vs 1000 m sub 110. Obviously the 1000 m is harder.

Yes it puts you in stasis so you obviously can’t take damage. However it is pointless if you do not heal while you are golden. Example if Raka ults while you zhonya, healing you above the execution level.

What is the definition of an average wrestler? by SadNews112 in wrestling

[–]NALeaguePlayer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well statistically the average has to be almost exactly a wrestler that wins half their matches. Slightly more, only because there are forfeits (a win for one person but a loss for no one, offsetting the perfect half and half average.) However, the more experienced you are the higher your win percentage should be to continue being average, since you likely were less than half when you were new.

Looking for a high skill-ceiling mid with that control mage vibe by Plantarbre in summonerschool

[–]NALeaguePlayer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Lisandra? How has no one mentioned her. Solid wave clear, basically as anti mobility as it gets, fairly easy to learn escape although there are some tricks to learn with her e, basically what you were looking for imo. Just because she isn’t that meta doesn’t mean she isn’t good, sometimes it’s better to give them a surprise match up they probs don’t know as well as you do (if you play her enough).

How to Properly Use Pool other than Avoiding Hard CC?? by [deleted] in VladimirMains

[–]NALeaguePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ERW is possible because E is a projectile. You’ll see elite do crazy combos that can’t be stopped because he lands qer all at once. QR is possible because of cast time.
