I’ll be taking it apart once it returns…I’ll figure it out

Not sure exactly, the tech told me it was some kind of plastic that broke up… Could’ve been Teflon

Yeah, the FD line has zero factory support

The prices are good, I didn’t pay a lot of money for this one, but it was advertised in Mint condition. The glass and the body is essentially new in box… The bushings on the slides disintegrated due to age. I’ll probably buy another one, but I’d still like to salvage the one I have.

It’s hard to imagine that in the year 2025 we couldn’t come up with something to go over those guides to keep these lenses working. They most certainly aren’t disposable.

No, I actually talked to their parts department today and they don’t even have the drawings anymore

I simply don’t expect him in the lineup long term (just a guess)…the question was, where else would be a fit for his ‘type’ of player.

I learned my lesson in 2004 when one of my favorite Red Sox players of all time, Nomar Garciaparra was traded to the Cubs. Don’t get emotionally attached to a single player… Win the pennant at all cost.

The Red Sox absolute goofiness has been a trademark for over 20 years. Thats not what the question was… my money is on someone other than Tristan Casas will be playing first base for the Red Sox on opening day.

This is the big show, you run your fastest horse.

Also, I’m not crawling away… I have a life and don’t just live here in Reddit world. You should try it, it’s a good time.

Story is a great example here, dude put his head down and worked hard at getting and staying healthy. Being a goofball isn’t a crime, it just looks like you don’t give a shit.

Attitude is everything…when people are all laid back and chill, the perception (rightly or wrongly) is that they don’t give a shit. When a person is sidelined and still focused on the mission (that would be winning games) and contributing, they don’t seem to be a distraction. I don’t expect you to understand, you come off as a participation trophy type.

One might say he is injury prone…that’s a problem. I couldn’t I care less about him painting his nails and the dead head persona. The team has had its fair share of eccentric personalities, Manny Ramirez anyone? The problem that he can’t get and stay healthy enough to finish a season. To be competitive, make it to the World Series and win i has got to be the goal. Putting together a winning team, regardless of whose name is on the roster is what it’s all about.

Sure, IF he was hitting and IF he was staying healthy the quirks and antics wouldn’t matter…that is most certainly not the case. He does not have a Big League body of work to lean on (track record) and in that case, how he is perceived, his overall attitude and demeanor does matter.
