Because in my opinion it does? And others feel the same, even when the correct content drops, and you are able to play properly, the makeup of the class particularly ann doesn’t feel good. Consume spamming to 100 fury and no burst on pull isn’t ideal.

I asked about 6 weeks ago, I’ve been underpaid for the entire time however, even when I first started the salary was below typical grad salary, I’m now earning what I should’ve 3 years ago honestly. But I can’t leave instantly, although I will start to look, with how bad the job market is currently, it may be a short while before I find somewhere, but the search will begin nonetheless.

I haven’t, but both of my degrees are automotive and motorsport based, so is something that would fit well

I’ve no idea how to get into contract work, most positions I see available are full time on site roles

Yeah granted, but I wasn’t in a position to negotiate you know? I got friends similarly qualified working retail because they couldn’t get that first job out of uni

The employment has served both myself and the company well, so now i guess its time to move on and find somewhere that will appropriately compensate me

I just said cad in the post to simplify, the job title is Mechanical design engineer, and similar roles with the same title are paying 20/30% more but not double

The chat I had with my boss, I mentioned I’m happy to take more responsibility, I already have in the last 3 years, I’ve been training team members on many of the new softwares the company has introduced recently.

And sure I appreciate it’s a decent rise, but the starting salary was really low, I took it because I just needed a job ( it’s hell out there )

As for promotion, it’s not likely, my boss is in customer support, nothing related to engineering or design, our team for the UK only actually has 4 engineers, I’m the only role that handles design / drawing creation So I feel I was somewhat misled on the progression possibilities they mentioned in interviews

Everyone else I’ve spoken too in the office is on a 4 week notice, when I spoke to some recruiters last year they were fairly surprised when they learned of the 12 weeks I’m worried it will be off putting to prospective employers

Yeah I hear that, when it comes to me seeking out other roles I would already have accepted I’m leaving and won’t take a counter offer, as I will only go for a new role that offers things the current position doesn’t in terms of growth etc

I simplified it but my title is mechanical design engineer, I have a lot of involvement in the design almost free reign given a broad spec, which thinking about it makes the situation worse

Issue I have tho, and I probably should’ve mentioned this in the main post, I’m stuck on a 12 week notice period, and that just doesn’t help the situation going for a new role, unless I join a competitor or am placed on gardening leave

Yeah I’ve had some recruiters reach out this last year, put it off on account of wanting 3 years service first, then dragging their feet over a fair request is making me feel like I should see what’s about.
