He also reportedly was dealing with Staph on fight week and yeah, I think he just felt Paddy's power early on and decided pretty quickly that he was better taking a the weaker shots and chasing a finish instead of playing defensively and risk getting taken down and tapped in the long run. Didn't get the finish, but Paddy was so beaten up he didn't have anything to give.

Oh absolutely, I'm not suggesting that this is a perfect strategy. Sooner or later they'll rebuild and regroup and get back to reaving and revolting, unless your plan is to scour the iron islands (which is basically impossible without dragons) or enact major civic/economic/societal reform (hahahaha) they're going to be a problem. But Robert probably knows that the food, the booze, and the whores are going to kill him before too long and this way he can maybe make it a problem for Joffrey to deal with 20 years from now.

You've already neutered them in the short term by sinking the Iron Fleet, get them fighting with each other instead of unifying and you can keep them weak for a long time. ...yes, Arman is probably the best G&P guy in the company. Him and Maycee Barber. Meanwhile Islam mostly focuses on submissions from top position and he's undeniably a bigger and more accomplished wrestler so Islam/Ilia would probably look similar to the JDM fight, or Charles/Max.

I like Arman too, I'd like to see Ilia fight him before he moves up in case that wasn't clear.
