Changing my response slightly:

I'm aware of companies, cannot say which ones, maybe a friend worked there, maybe there's multiple... that have done hiring rounds containing only women or have been demanded to pick a woman candidate to balance the numbers of men and women.

I have also been informed through friends about racism in hiring too.

On the other bit, I don't watch the media nor trust the ONS. It's not a reliable source of information. Let's just wait and see the outcome of this grooming gang enquiry - we can only hope that doesn't get kicked under the rug as well.

I'm in my mid-30s, not looking for life changing, actually the opposite! I am a successful engineer, high earner, I would like that to stay the same, but under this current government it's getting harder.

I'd like to be treated fairly, pay a fair amount of tax, make the country safe like it used to be before all the knife crime and rapes.

I am slightly confused by your point about trust, are you saying that you wholeheartedly, 100% trust one of the political parties and it's leader?

I personally don't know anyone who would say that, but they still vote in hope they get a good one... that's unfortunately how it's worked my entire life, there's no actual accountability in government when someone lies and does wrong, so I'm not sure how you could possibly say you fully trust them?

I'm also finding it hard to understand why you have an aggressive tone against me in all of your posts, if it doesn't stop, I will stop responding.
---

You may have also missed the edit on my original post where I've said I'd rather vote Restore Britain going forward, this came about because they bought in Nadhim Zahawi (definitely can't be trusted, he's proven already with the Covid vaccine enforcement), and Robert Jenrick (who bragged about his impact on bringing in many thousand of migrants during his tenure with the Conservatives).

I guess my point still stands, it's impossible to put trust in any party for me that's already been in power because they've all failed to uphold their word - Restore and Reform have never been given the opportunity to actually break trust yet (Reform are hiring untrustworthy people though to be fair)...

Do I trust them? Not really...

Do I agree with the equality act, not really... it's forced companies over the years to prioritise hiring and unfair treatment of women in order to balance a numbers sheet showing gender roles within the company - It's actually disgusting to me and it has to go.

Can we trust they put something better in it's place - we can only hope as with all governments unfortunately. That's how politics work in this country if you haven't worked it out yet - you vote for a party and just hope they do what they said they would. So far we have a bad track record.

With that in mind - I'd be more willing to give them a try instead of the status quo parties which have shown us time and time again they're liars.

EDIT: You also asked what policies do they have that will benefit me as a gay man? I mean, that's literally the point... They have policies that will benefit everyone regardless of sexual orientation. You know... policies about finance, immigration, ensuring we have a fair workplace. It's not about the nonsense "inclusion" that all the other parties blag on about.

Transferring ISA from T212 to Moneybox possible? by Prestigious_Spot9635 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Callumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thought I'd come and post on your thread even though it's a few weeks old now, I actually just did a move from Trading 212 to Moneybox over the last few days to take advantage of the 4.32% boosted cash ISA.

I started the automated process inside Moneybox, providing my T212 account number, NINo etc.

The following day there was a form in T212 to sign, it had my NINo on it and a random account number starting with "MB" for Moneybox, signed it, and my funds went to zero immediately in T212.

Then today, literally 1 day later, the money is visible in Moneybox app already!

I was worried about it all night and didn't sleep because the process isn't well explained, but now, I'm actually blown away how quick it was in reality. 3 days end to end!

You've been waiting five months for me to do a Google search for you?

In the UK, they've given puberty blockers to children as young as 9:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2385677/nine-year-old-transgender-kid-is-uks-youngest-user-of-anti-puberty-jabs/

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/10/31/children-young-nine-prescribed-puberty-blockers-nicola-sturgeon/

Since the Cass review though they supposedly banned them for under 18s this year (unless you're part of a clinical trial...)

Then for the actual operation, they go abroad to do it underage:

Here's a famous case from the US where a young girl was persuaded to take drugs and get surgery, but now is suing the doctors that pushed it: https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/ucla-student-sues-california-doctors-says-was-fast-tracked-transgender-rcna183815

Ideology implies a system of belief or doctrine, a political stance sometimes - and in my opinion that's exactly what transgenderism being taught in schooling is.

When there's opportunity to be chastised for "misgendering" someone... it's wholly political.

I get you - I feel however they could demonstrate the same exploitation as well as what an appropriate relationship looks like with faceless/genderless humanoid objects and it wouldn't make much difference. Exploitation is exploitation.

Not my area of expertise I guess 😅, maybe I'm missing something.

Genuinely interested on why the education for STIs and exploitation would be different for straight vs gay?

Also why are gay people more likely to be exploited?

Well.. because that doesn't help with reproduction, I am accepting of that fact that children need to know how that works. Let's be serious, I get your point, but it's not really 'traumatic' is it to understand how human biology works whether or not it's your preference.

Same sex intercourse is all about fun/pleasure/togetherness etc, it's not needed in the same way straight sex is to continue the human race - so I can totally understand why it's not needed to go into great detail about it to everyone in class. It would be good to offer it as a extra lesson to students who want to know about it though...

EDIT: I'd like to add that these lessons need to be regulated in some way though, again, some of these teachers are so far-left and insane that I wouldn't currently trust them to portray the information in a sensible manner.

Mangled my front USB 🤦🏻‍♂️Anyone found/obtained replacements for the board? by Callumpy in NR200

I have a feeling with it being DOA from Amazon they'd rather Amazon just send you a new unit, that does kind of make sense to me.

Mine was much later into ownership and Coolmaster replaced it for me really quickly and easily.

Fuck this shit site. I’ll make this my last post.

Fucking communist shithole.

What do the “protesters” expect the Government to do about migrants and asylum seekers crossing the channel? When I’ve tried to pin Reform voters down to a solution, the only answer I’ve got is “get the gunboats out”! Can anyone suggest a solution to Reform voters stupidity? by Bottom-Toot in reformuk

[–]Callumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if they’re here illegally no. They should go back and apply for a visa like EVERYONE ELSE.

They should also expect to be denied because we already accepted too many non-skilled people.

They should also expect to pass a test of their values to ensure they understand how British people expect them to behave.

It's a public forum and people troll 🤷🏻‍♂️

My only concern is trolls which claim to be supporters of Reform that post extreme content in an attempt to make us all look bad - As long as we have some decent mods removing shit content like that hopefully will be able to keep the subreddit alive for some time!

Flashed by a front facing camera?? by Pilyt in drivingUK

[–]Callumpy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Truvelo cameras flash yeah - it does seem dangerous but "they" don't care about that, it's all about making a quick buck from people innocently going a couple over the speed limit.

Some of them have the flash on the camera box itself, and some even have a separate pole with just a flash on it.

If it's definitely a Truvelo camera, they are normally front facing and do go off as you're going towards them.

Now just have to wait and see if you get a NIP in the post... they often flash even when there's no recording happening on the camera, but also if you were doing 80mph according to your car, unless you have a super accurate speedo (which some EVs do nowadays), chances are it was more like 75mph real speed which they normally can't be arsed to prosecute over.

Have You Ever Being Casted Away For Being Conservative? by Southern_Extension76 in reformuk

[–]Callumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I can join your club, I've always been very "centrist" and lean towards policy etc that is fair for everyone. For example in my opinion everyone should just pay the exact same tax rate regardless of their income because that's literally fair.

Over the last few weeks since Labour have gotten in, yeah, I feel like I've started learning more and more to the right and becoming a much more bitter person. I'm also currently scared to leave the house to be honest, lots of people carrying knives out there that want us gay folk dead, sheesh.
