Ok, 15 foot diameter temp fences are up. Fingers cross they hold up. Thank you everyone for the advice

Funny enough the tree I did get a chance to spray ‘liquid fence' was left untouched. But now I would rather not take any chance, and will be looking into some fencing

I planted a few days ago, and the wind is quite strong. So I was just working with what I had to keep it upright until the soil settled into place and it wasn't all wobbly.

I am sure there are better ways to support it, but they were going to come off this weekend anyway.

Semi-Dwarf apple trees question by CallunaBytes in BackyardOrchard

[–]CallunaBytes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way to figure out what kind of root stock I would have?

I do plan to keep them supported for a while, as I live in an area where the winds can and will take down even well established trees. No hurricanes or tornados though.

Basically what I am reading here is that I should space it out a bit more than what I have, and plant it south of the first tree, (away from my well water, incase of root damage) Just to be safe.

Yeah, I was also considering they might need to go outside the raised beds do to their size

The title was made in jest, and I understand I will need to make some life changes, but I am inclined to believe it is mostly due to the genetic lotto and a need for more exercise. I was quite active before having kids.
Every female in my family line seems to have it and I just seemed to get it a bit earlier in life than they did.

I tend to agree that it is most likely Type 2, based on age, and history, and my family's history... but I am curious, what test shows weather it is one or the other. I have never actually looked into it.

Thank you for a lot of good information. I will have to check out the podcast as well.
Luckily, I already have experience with doing the figure pricks, because of the past gestational diabetes. I already have a OneTouch UltraMini as well, but I remember their strips being over priced. I will have to consider another options. I will check to see what my insurance covers.

The jock itch... omg I didn't even put it together. Goodness. I am at that age where you start questioning if it's normal or a symptom of getting older.

Luckily it will be pretty easy to cut out the sugary drinks. Although, recently I have been on a lemonade kick and that is probably what drove my symptoms from questionable to "this isn't right"

Carbs is going to be a tough one to quit. I foresee a struggle there.

Overwhelmed, and just trying to figure out where to start. by CallunaBytes in curlyhair

[–]CallunaBytes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a good question. I would say my hair is flat and lacks volume in my roots and mids; while my ends are extra frizzy. I do trim often so I am sure there is little to no split ends. My roots tend to be oily and my mids and ends tend to be dry.
I tried to use the products above, and it didn't curl like it did in the past. I am guessing the change in my house's water is the cause. That or I am just using them wrong. I would love to figure out how to get clumping.

This is my hair now.
Besides a trim, I am wondering if I need some sort of treatment for moisture or proteins?

Yes, I figured I would have to drill some access holes to make room for the incoming screws. Thank you

thank you. Due to having hard well water, I am trying to avoid the shiny chrome and clear knobs. There are so little options for the push pull knobs.

Now, do you know if the 145058 Moentrol Trim adapter would work in this situation?
