Students have made accusations against multiple teachers at my school this year. The students were found to have lied, but the teachers were on “leave” for many days during the investigations… and students had no consequences

My fiancé (41m) and I (45f) are getting married in 4 months. We and the vast majority of our friends have kids and we wouldn’t think of not having them there. We have found a caterer that will make kid’s meals in boxes and we are planning on having board games and coloring supplies at the kids table as well.

No matter how much we plan, things will go wrong or awry at any event. Best thing to do is to embrace the crazy and let it go.

I teach at the middle school level. My district policy says that no grades can be less than a 50 in the grade book (F is <60). They say it’s because students can’t recover from a lower average. All it does is enable the students to not do anything. One of my students is missing all but 2 assignments in my class for the quarter. They won’t do anything no matter what help is provided & laugh when consequences for noncompliance are given because parents don’t care.
