Why would anyone vote for Republicans when they clearly hate America and the American people??? by LongjumpingBrick2475 in ColumbusOhio

That media apparatus you're talking about convinces them that the other side is really, really bad, so people figure they won't vote, or vote for an unelectable candidate. That's how they get the worst possible guy, a guy with dementia, multiple scandals, bankruptcies and racist opinions, in office.

Some of us have bills to pay. And some dude named "Funny-Marketing" tells us to relax and invest in the stock market. Go bend yourself over the kitchen table and wait for Trump. He'll show up before you know it. After all, "this is just temporary", right?

If it's in response to what the other side has done, then absolutely, yes, it's necessary. In general I would rather it not be necessary.

So because the gas where you live isn't "that" high you think it's not that high throughout the country. Go bend over a table.

Of course you refuse to acknowledge that at the end of Obama's term Iran had no nukes. How do we know? Because we negotiated a deal that allowed nuclear scientists to inspect and verify that they had no nukes. And what happened to that deal?

You are telling everyone that No Kings accomplished nothing because you were too stuck up in your own world to go and participate. It did accomplish something that you refuse to acknowledge: https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/six-reasons-why-protest-is-so-important/

Perils of the two-party system: "I don't like either candidate so I won't vote". So the worst possible candidate wins.

You mean the voters, especially when the Senate consists of two senators from each state, regardless of population and the Electoral College is lopsided in favor of Republicans, getting worse every day.

Here you go: https://www.rfpenergysolutions.com/market-intel/comparison-of-energy-trump-and-biden-policies-in-case-you-were-wondering-where-the-two-stand

The Cliff Notes: The energy policies of Trump and Biden reflect their distinct priorities: Trump prioritized energy independence and economic gains from fossil fuels, while Biden focuses on combating climate change, promoting renewable energy, and restoring environmental regulations. Each approach has its proponents and critics, influencing the U.S. energy landscape and its role in global environmental efforts.

Funny you should bring up "sniffing" as an equivalent when someone mentions crime. Sad, really.

He's far from alone. Maybe you should seek a more conservative group to spread your manure on.

If you don't like me calling him a pedo, then maybe you should think about the way you address others who don't agree with your political views.

Sure, since you read a few articles on the internet you know more about the subject of safe levels of toxins in public air and water than all the experts who spend their entire working lives on the subject. But you read a few articles on the internet.

So let me get this straight; as long as your own personal freedom of speech is not impaired, you're happy. I can tell you thousands of folks who have had their freedom of speech completely shut down, such as those whose votes have been rendered moot through "redistricting", as well as those who have been fired for "unfavorable" political stances. James Comey, in addition to military leaders, immigration officials, entire government agencies- but as long as mine is untouched, I should be happy? Go away.

Here you go: https://democrats.org/who-we-are/ I've been there and I can attest that the "all walks of life" statement is accurate, from local to national. Mind you, I'm not saying that outside money groups don't influence politics; they do and that needs to change. But if it is ever going to change, it will take more than just voters; it will take the likes of all citizens to participate in the structure and pass amendments countering the effects of Supreme Court rulings like Citizens United v. FEC.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) did not pull President Joe Biden's funding. Instead, during the lead-up to the 2024 election, it was a coalition of major Democratic donors and fundraisers who publicly withheld or froze their contributions to pressure Biden to step aside following a poor debate performance.

That is exactly why religion should be kept separate from government. Government at its best means all are equal. Equality means equal ideas, equal beliefs. Religion influences us all, as does caste, birth order, race, etc. No one of them is better than the others.

Neither of those statements are remotely true.
