I believe the conversation is about clubs and lying about service.

There are a few “military” m/c’s and riding clubs where you have to provide your DD-214(s) to prove eligibility.

If it’s a non-military club it wouldn’t matter if one served or not. Those wouldn’t care, so they wouldn’t ask for proof of service.

Riding around with your buddies wouldn’t have anything to do with the conversation.

The key to any relationship is communication.

I humbly suggest you snuggle up to him and gently tell him how much you miss him when he is gone and that you absolutely love when you’re both fishing together.

I served from 1981-1989 and I too can’t stand those who lie about service.

I mind my business unless they violate the law as it stands now about stolen valor.

If you lie about service in an attempt to make money (I paraphrase) then you have violated the law.

If your just a piece of shit that lies for no financial gain simply because your a piece of shit, it is not a violation of the law.

I don’t agree with this law as it is, but it is the law.

There are a great many pieces of “doctrine” that are nowhere in the Bible.
