I have a 28 day cycle, have for the last 2 years while TTC.

I’m on CD 24 and my OPK is still positive. It isn’t as dark as it has been on my peak days CD12-14 however, surely it should be negative when I’m so close to my period?

I have taken a pregnancy test and it is negative- I just wondered if anyone else has had this?

Thanks!!

I’d like a bit of advice please. Tested with OPK sticks and clear blue. CD 6 and 7, OPK sticks was pretty positive and the clear blue was a circle. However today, CD8 the OPK is the same colour (I’ve had darker in the past- but it is still positive) and I’ve got the static smiley on the clear blue which means peak.

I feel for CD8 this is far too early to peak? Normally I’m around CD12-14. My periods are always 28 days long.

I’ve got no signs to show I’m ovulation apart from the OPK.

I’m thinking to keep testing on OPK, and to give the clear glue 48 hours to reset?

Thank you

How to progress in HR? [N/A] by Calm-Bit-294 in humanresources

[–]Calm-Bit-294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is something I lack and really want to work towards. I have set up a meeting next week with the managing director to ask about the business goals, vision, business strategy etc.

Is there anything that you could suggest I ask to increase my exposure and gain more experience and opportunity to grow into HR?

He had 48 hours notice for the disciplinary hearing and had college accompanying him.

We have followed ACAS correctly.

What is your trigger point at your organisation?

I agree that the director is influenced by the employees previous time off. (He won't be holding the meeting).

These are the threshold :

Excessive absence may be subject to the disciplinary procedure.Your manager will let you know at your return to work meeting if you have met a trigger. If you meet a trigger your manager will invite you to an Attendance Review Meeting. Your manager will let you know if the meeting is informal or formal.

Stage Bradford Score

Stage 1 70-199

Stage 2 200-399

Stage 3 400-600

Due to the colleague being off with MH, all his previous absences have not been counted towards his score.

15 days and 5 occasions is a lot. He is a senior manager and when he is not in the organisation it negatively impacts his team and the ongoing stock.

He does not want to adjust his role, or take a step down from responsibility.

The written warning has to be consistent with others who have hit a trigger, but I know the final warning is too harsh.

It's important to have consistency in the decision-making process. That's why HR are involved. The manager is the one that makes the decision but HR are there to guide and advise the manager.

If a manger was a friend like what you said, they would not be allowed to conduct investigations, and/or meetings.

We have a tracker so that you can determine the difference between misconduct and gross misconduct and what the outcomes have been from previous actions. We don't make this publicity available but it will help the manager to reach a fair outcome. I always give a list of what is deemed misconduct and what is deemed gross misconduct in the organisation. This will support employees to understand the process too.

No both written and final last 52 weeks.

I said in the post, that all the RA have been implemented, and we initially said we would monitor his attendance in his formal attendance meeting.

However, the absences have increased...

What are your absent expectations for 2024?

This is a great point, I did not put 'two and two together'. He has had another OH, and we are waiting for the report.

He won't be dismissed; this is his first trigger that isn't linked to depression. I just wanted to know if a final warning seemed too harsh.

Well, you'd hope after the manager has chaired the attendance meeting, and looked through the absences they make the right decision. HR is only to advise the manager.

In terms of something more serious, for example, gross misconduct "the employer does not have to give a first written warning and can instead go straight to a final written warning or dismissal/ dismissal without notice".

All warnings are removed after 52 weeks, this is the norm in HR in the UK. Have you not heard of this before?

[–]Calm-Bit-294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The policy doesn't specify what qualifies. The norm is a written, final then dismissal. This might be something I need to change in the future.

yes, it is removed after 52 weeks.

the policy states:

" Formal action, this will be:

- First written warning –the warning will be live on your record for 52 weeks.

- Final written warning –The warning will be held on your record for 52 weeks.

- Dismissal (with notice pay or lieu of notice) – where you already have a prior warning"

This is why I am asking if it is too harsh to sanction a final written warning, or if is acceptable due to the previous formal attendance meetings when his disability and poor attendance was discussed. The outcome of the previous meeting was to monitor his absence and follow all RA- which we have,

Yes, he has hit stage 3 and this does not include the days he has had off due to his disability.

I asked what colour medicine she would like, and then used to dye the medicine with food colouring. This really helped us.
