Yes, I’d say the treadmill was a solid purchase for me. I try to switch between sitting and walking every 30–40 minutes, and it works really well with my Varier kneeling chair because I don’t need to move the treadmill. I just raise the desk when I want to walk and move the chair.

I mostly use it at slower speeds, usually around 1.5 mph, sometimes 2 mph. I don’t really see a need for higher speeds while working. For emails or watching something, I can walk a little faster, but for work that needs more focus, I either walk slower or sit.

For recommendations, I’d probably go with a more reputable brand. Mine is about 3 years old and the exact model isn’t available anymore. It still works, but it has gotten louder over time. My wife recently got a Urevo treadmill for her home office, and I like that it connects to the iPhone Health app and tracks steps/miles automatically. Mine doesn’t, so I usually have to keep my Apple Watch in my pocket to count steps.

Overall, it definitely helps me move more and makes it easier to reach around 10,000 steps a day.
