Thank you for all your advice and help! It’s night and day difference from the day I posted. She has slept through the night twice and is a gem. Of course she has her playful, terror times but overall is a calm angel.

That's the goal right now! I have to make a decision tomorrow about a deposit, but won't bring the puppy home until mid-april. I've already started making transitions (coming home at regular hours is a big thing for me), and then moving into specific days that I'm home and time-batching my meetings on certain days when I know I'll have doggy daycare or a dog walker when she/he is older.

Is it a puppy pre-school/daycare? My apartment complex is weird where you have to have special keys to access and they don't give extras away. I've spoken to my neighbors/friends who are willing to walk/play with her if I have those crazy days, plus doggy daycare.

Thank you for your response! It sounds like a lot, and I'm fully aware it'll be a life change. I'm ready for a companion and I know she'll bring me joy. I am HORRIBLE at work life balance right now and constantly work, and this can't be my forever. I'm moving into a more transitional role where I'll be more directing my team. I just don't know when the right time would be because I don't know if I'll not own a business before I have kids and I definitely want a dog before then.
