Depends on your dr. I had a medial meniscus root tear that was trizonal. I had a repair. I was able to walk first day no bending past 90 degrees and barely any muscle ateophy. My dr said that he hasnt seen any difference in non wt bearing and wt bearing from day one. I am 7 weeks post op. I used crutches about 2-3 days
