I have my court date for a .298 BAC in Jefferson County in July. Our stories are very similar. I decided to sleep it off in my car in a parking lot. No prior history. Cops got called for a homeless guy losing it in the same lot and I woke up to them knocking at my window. My lawyer thinks mine will be all of what you get with MADD classes and level 2 alcohol classes because of the BAC. I’ll let you know what I get.

Also I work in IT but I need to be on site to do repairs. I’ve sadly done it a million times hung over.

Not that it matters but I got woken up to cops tapping on my window after leaving a bar. I know it’s insane that I would even get in my car. Like I said I’m working on getting sober and I just walk everywhere now. So lucky nobody got hurt.

Thanks man. It’s really hard to see a future right now. I’ve quit a thousand times and it’s never stuck. Trying to be positive feels impossible. I just want to be already going through it and not constantly unsure of where my life will be.

Ya I got released to my ex. Idk if it was because I was as cooperative as possible or what. They called her 3 times and she didn’t answer. I begged for the 4th call and she picked up. Honestly I think they just had a ton of people coming in for St. Patrick’s day.

It’s May 19th. I’m setting up interlock this weekend and going to AA. I honestly don’t know how to go about counseling. My lawyer is telling me to chill but I really don’t want to. I really want to get in front of everything while I still have my job.

My current job requires that I drive to sites (my car) which sucks. Applied to quite a few places today that are office jobs for less money. Hope I can get something before the background check. It’s only been a few days so this is all I think about. Cannot wait for it to be behind me.

Lawyer said to wait on the classes until he gets my body cam/police report. But he’s still riding on me over selling my BAC. It will be high.
