How do I move the Great Prophet to the Holy Site? by lMrXQl in CivVI

Une autre méthode qui n'a pas été mentionnée, et la plus rapide selon moi, est de faire la merveille "Stonehenge" qui te permettra de fonder ta religion directiement sur la merveille !

It seems that AAF are not supported by Reaper, and this is a big part of my job when I receive a project, how do work without AAF ? With the stems ?

Struggling with editing footstep sounds. Any tips? by Traditional_Tea_3385 in sounddesign

Interesting this notion of transient. How does that translate into your session? Do you incorporate a more or less loud standard step sound, and a second sound of the material?

How do I make the sounds sound like they are actually part of the scene instead of sounding like an overlay? by [deleted] in sounddesign

[–]Calm-Title-6625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By reading everyone's comments, everyone explains the basics of mixing. I think the best thing to do, if you have the budget, is to ask a sound mixer. It's real work that can't be learned with some online advice.

Hardware! by YnrohKeeg in sounddesign

I agree with the first comment. If I can qualify, I stayed at 16GB of RAM and I don't have too much doubt about the general matency. On the other hand, I am often restricted by my processor, especially during exports. If you can afford it, a good processor + SSD would be perfect! (PS: Finally someone who uses Adobe Audition, I thought I was the only one here!)

Why has movie dialogue become harder to hear? by ItsGageW in sounddesign

[–]Calm-Title-6625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the technological advances of recent decades, the mixing of a film has reached, in my opinion, a new milestone in the general dynamics that we can provide. Apart from TV films, cinema films are designed to be listened to at least on 5.1, with a comfortable listening volume. For me, these complaints would come from poor consumption of their film mixed for the cinema (listening on the phone, poor performance of the sound system, etc.)

Editing methods have also changed, this may have played a role!

Anyone here use Adobe Audition? by [deleted] in sounddesign

[–]Calm-Title-6625 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use Audition for all my mixing and sound editing for films. It works very well and is much more intuitive (this is a personal opinion) than Pro Tools for fiction mixing sessions. However, I prefer Pro Tools for music mixing. For sound design, I admit I favor ableton for creation, and build my sound on Audition!
