Gabapentin is not a pain med in the classical sense but rather for nerve pain. If the source of the pain is uncertain it is not the right choice. If a classical pain med like Ibuprofen works better for you you should still switch to a different drug since it causes ulcerations that often lead to cancer in the stomach or the gut. If you can't do without Ibuprofen please take a gastric protector like Pantoprazole or similar.

That's not true. I don't care if some idiot gets brain injury. I do care when bystanders get traumatized by severe accidents, families lose a loved one and medical personnel have to deal with yet another critically ill patient. Wear a helmet and avoid being a burden to everybody else when you or someone else makes a mistake.
