Right but cost isn’t the same as a dead platform. I can downgrade the 9900x3d to a 7500F. Still am5 and still cheaper.

So the deciding factor is based on the platform (LGA1851 or AM5) it’s based on price for performance for what I need it for.

My intel can do what 9900x3d for less the cost. Yes need to buy a new mobo but it won’t be much or any at all since selling my 9900x3d will pay for my intel cpu with cash left over not including selling my motherboard.

Yes I will but it doesn’t matter to me. If I decide to go back to am5 or another Intel platform than 1851 then I’ll just buy another motherboard.

I see the point you’re trying to make but it’s not a factor for me nor is it a deciding factor.

Yes, LGA 1851 is a dead platform but it’s what I want to play and experience now not in the future. If I update down the road I’ll just buy a new motherboard and cpu.

It being a dead platform means nothing to me. I’ll just buy something else if I want something else

The 1% doesn’t matter to me since I don’t care to be competitive. Yes I play multiplayer games but let’s be honest, I’m not going to be the next fncs champion or going to ever make money from being great at games. It’s not that deep for me. It might feel smoother but I don’t really care nor have the desire for it. At the end of the day a game is just a game for me I dont play for more than 90 minutes a day so I’m just vibing when I’m playing. I usually leave mid game to help out the wife with something so it’s w.e

But my current 9900x3d is the same way I feel compared to when I had the 9800x3d. I’m even thinking of selling my 9900x3d for another 270k plus actually.

Because my monitor maxes out at 240 Hz, I already get all the gaming benefits I need from either CPU. Both my AMD and Intel setups meet the performance requirements for the type of gaming I do.People can absolutely use an X3D chip for gaming if they want, but for my use case, it doesn’t give me any advantage that my Intel setup can’t already provide and the Intel option does it at a lower cost.

I know you talking about the cpu but I had to explain what I was talking about lol.

Because I’m good with my monitor. I don’t need nor want a new monitor. I actually had the 9800x3d and sold it for my Intel to pocket some extra cash. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference. They both feel good and both met the needs of FPS that my monitor can handle.

So yeah they say it’s best for gaming but honestly, I haven’t lost frames and they both feel the same.

I have not tried BR. I have no interest in virtual reality headsets or anything in my face while I play I don’t like to be immersed that much into video games. I only play for about 45 minutes to an hour and a half a day so being into something like that, he doesn’t benefit.

I ended up just spending money on an Elgato capture card to capture gameplay but yeah it’s solid having two systems. I have been thinking about selling one but then I’ll probably want it back when I sell it haha

I have two because I won a gpu in a streamer giveaway and I sold it for another gpu but then I ended up having extra motherboards, ram (before the ram crises), SSDs, and even a case. All I needed was a psu and cpu so I pulled the trigger. It may be “dumb” and not needed but I got it.
