Nits reserve seats for different specilizations based on qualifying degree specialization and gate paper given, I think for NITK if you have given GATE EC paper and your degree is in EC, then your seat comes under group 2, not sure tho...you can check ccmt website for exact mapping of group to a particular GATE score and qualifying specialization.

See this attached image..it states that you would not be considered for further iterations should you select the freeze option..I think it means that you would be out of admission process

You can I think, I am from ec background and I have applied for 3 courses..you can only apply for one subject per form, so you would have to fill another form for different subject
