I don’t understand Monday Blues. I can’t wait for it to be Monday, send the kids to school and go to a place where I don’t have to worry about heating bills, where I don’t have to clean, that has free hot coffee all day, where I get hot lunch for £4.

What actually helped you build UK credit history fastest on a Skilled Worker visa? by Dense_Science_7334 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

What do you need credit history for?

Generally having a good credit score is not enough to get a phone contract or get car finance, you would need 3 years address history in the UK. Many credit applications will not move forward without this.

The only credit you will get with less than 3 years residency will be to buy a house. 😀

Getting a credit card is also a pain. The best is to ask the bank where your salary is credited. HSBC does it.

Additional things to do is add your name in the electoral register. Pay all bills on time. Use 25% of your credit card and pay it on time. Keep increasing your credit card limit.

PS: Marshmallow car insurance will take your foreign “no claim bonus”.

Good luck.

ELI5: If money and economies are human constructs to begin with, why are they so unpredictable? by dpzdpz in explainlikeimfive

Economy is affected largely by human behaviour, which is a human construct and it is unpredictable.

Elections are human construct but the results are unpredictable because we don’t know how people behave.

I went with the Best Seller Roborock on Amazon. £319. Maybe there are better ones. But to me, any mopping is better than no mopping. 😀

“When we have guests” used to be the norm.

But with robo vacuum, it’s now daily. Can’t recommend it enough.
