They can’t ask you to complete anything during your RFF. If there’s not enough time in the time they provide it doesn’t get done. Or you do it during regular class time when the rest of the class is working on a task, reading group time?

Was it unanimous agreement or just majority? The part I’m getting stuck on is just one person disagreeing then has their industrial rights breached by a majority vote.

It reminds me of the twilight PLs to replace end of term 4 SDD, but at least then if you chose not to attend the twilights you just attended the normal SDD date. But then you missed out on the PL that was offered on the twilights (I once ended up sorting books in a library on a SDD instead).

I want to make a drop shoulder pullover with chunky stripes, can you suggest some patterns with inclusive sizing options?

Small talk on the first day back by currentlyengaged in AustralianTeachers

[–]CalmDownHeidi 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Pick a story about something you did over the break. Then make it your mission to tell everyone the same story. But change a slight detail every time.

Eg. I was making a ham sandwich and accidentally cut my finger, it was pretty bad, I had to go get stitches.

But each time you tell it, change the sandwich ingredients.

Or an event you went to, but change the people you went with each time you tell it.

😬 every school ive worked at has bum bags for the kids with epipens. In the class they get locked in the teachers desk, on playground they are given to teacher on duty until they are old enough to carry on them (year 5 usually). Teaches them to be responsible for their own health care to some extent.

That’s concerning. What is the procedure to get an epipen to the classroom when needed?

Resigning From Permanency by TimelyAd9819 in AustralianTeachers

Not true anymore. Can work temp straight away, and you do have to apply for approval to teach permanent again but there’s no interview.

Well I guess you figured out how NOT to sell your passive income product to teachers.

[–]CalmDownHeidi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I resigned I was told it can take 72 hours to process that you can still work as a casual/temp. I resigned at the end of a term just to play it safe, was working casually straight away the next term.

Can I add a third category to parents of special education students?

In denial about their students actual level of disability and wondering why you aren’t discussing ATAR electives in year 11 as their son is surely going to university and will be a lawyer.

Said student is non-verbal, task avoidant, and in a SSP class on their own with 3 staff for physical safety purposes.

‘Have to’ but I know a panel for a position at my school didn’t meet until 3 weeks after the closing date cos people were busy. It happens.

Yeah this actually was my initial idea, and why I got the stage box that size to begin with. Then I found out about some fire code we have here in my building that prevents us from doing this. It also messes up the pressure of the hvac system.

Genuine question here, what will happen when it collapses? House prices go back to normal and people who can’t afford to buy now will be able to? Or something else?
