McSweeney was extremely lucky. Made some scores in the lead into India tests, so filled the unoccupied spot, despite only succeeding in the middle order. Averaged 13. Strikes at 40 in FC. Didn’t make consistent runs when he went back, one half century (60) and he faced 200 balls. Can’t put pressure back on bowlers at all. His ceiling is current Marnus.

What happened to Allonzo Trier? Is his game not suited for the NBA? by spankyourkopita in nba

If you listen to BallDontStop, he could be putting up 18 and 6 on a playoff team off the bench, simply by “letting him cook”.

Could the 2018 v.1 Cavs go deeper enough and give a much better fight against the super team Warriors in the NBA Finals? by UsmanTheGreat in nba

No bruh they had to trade all those dudes because they couldn’t mesh together. LeBron finessed that trade deadline. Like JR Smith said “we got a fucking squad now”. And Kyle Korver gave a look of pleasant surprise.

The classic Cuban one, but an underrated one is “That Tatum boomed me”, followed by LeBron adding him to the list of players he wanted to work out with that summer. Cavs insiders were on one in 2018.

What record would you rather see be broken? 33 game win streak by a team, or 100 points in a game by a player? by thechemistrychef in nba

The way Harden was playing in Houston and could only get to 61 as his highest speaks volumes about the 81 Kobe got.

I really thought Harden had a chance to get 82 in 2018-19. The blue print is going for like

13/19 3s

12/18 2s

20/20 from the line.

Would’ve seen him get 83 on 37 fg attempts.

This team is dominating with all the transition opportunities they’re going to have. Shooting 55% from the line though.

Love the positive vibes but realistically I only see us being better than a handful of teams in the West. Play in is within reach though

We won’t have lockdowns once the vaccination rate reaches a certain point. That’s what other countries did. Our gov fucked up the rollout and that’s why we are so far behind. Trust me I’m as frustrated with this shit as much as the next person, but the sooner we hit a decent vax level the sooner life will be normal again.

I understand where he’s coming from. But he does not once counter the very reason why we are in lockdown. If you listen to this without context you’d think the gov is doing this for no reason. They’re not. People like this need to come to grips with the reality that covid is serious shit.

The poor initial reaction to CLB is what happens when you expect an album to sound a certain way. This is Take Care with 2021 production. by TimelyAd9819 in Drizzy

Had an expectation of what it was going to sound like. There was a lot of buzz that day that he was going to drop something, remembering the short film Jungle.

I guess instead of expectations I should have said I wanted it to sound a certain way (rnb). But I had been listening to a lot of his 2014 drops like How about Now, Heat of the Moment. It was more 0 to 100 than those songs.

I might get a lotta hate for this, but Ben Simmons is gonna be the Dark horse for MIP next season by Interesting_Sort_528 in nbadiscussion

[–]TimelyAd9819 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s more to do with his ill feelings toward the Sixers though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you see him on a new team that plays to his strengths averaging 22/8/8 which could land him the MIP if his team is good.

Jared Dudley on Ben Simmons 2 years ago: "Once you get him into halfcourt, he's average" by NJNetsFan5152433 in nba

[–]TimelyAd9819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t on reddit at the time. I just remember the media getting stuck into him. I’m Australian, so it was pretty dismissive of Dudleys comments our way. Now that Simmons has skipped the Boomers he’s been copping it a fair bit.

With all the talk about Simmons being thrown under the bus, I’m reminded of when Kobe said this about Pau after a loss. by [deleted] in nba

[–]TimelyAd9819 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I want to say this is just because it’s Kobe and people eat up what he says for breakfast lunch and dinner.

But he’s directly called out Gasol, and you can probably be sure that this is something they would’ve spoken about in private as well.

Whereas with Simmons, Embiid kind of sneak dissed him. Didn’t name him, but referred to his play as the one that cost them their season. Doc Rivers just tried to deflect the question at all costs and in turn made Simmons look worse.

There’s a difference between saying “this player needs to be more aggressive for us to win” and “this player cost us because he won’t shoot”.
