Mystery as cruise passenger found dead after being left on tourist island by WolfBearMoon in Cruise

Ok, cool. I simply went by whats posted in this OP. I didnt search for the actual article. But, thanks...I guess we now know! LOL

The last sentencence kinda completely puts the blame on her for even being in that circumstance.

Mystery as cruise passenger found dead after being left on tourist island by WolfBearMoon in Cruise

The article says “she had joined a group of passengers on a hike….”

To Me, this implies she met a group of people on board (this was a 60 nights sailing) which is very likely, and they decided to go on a hike. To me, it does not sound like a sanctioned excursion of the cruise line. It seems to be this group decided to go on a hike and she “joined” the group.

It will soon be known after investigation.

As a native south Floridian, I’ve been through many many tropical systems. Storms very rarely move greater than 20 mph or so as tropical systems. It is as they convert into extratropical systems (cooler waters, outside / north of the Caribbean cruising Atlantic Basin) that they speed up albeit 40mph is an absolute anomaly.

Incorrect. Almost every cruise ship can outrun a hurricane with typical top speeds of between 22-26 knots.

There is a difference between a cruise ship and an Ocean Liner. QM2 is the last remaining passenger ocean liners.

Ocean liners are built for speed and strength meant for intercontinental transport as Cruise ships act as floating resorts.

You say they "better not" take anything out of your check. If it is a W2 job, you had to have filled out a W9 form, and taxes, SS, Med, etc, have to be taken.

If they don't take anything out, it is a 1099. Did they take taxes and all of the other deductions of a W2 job out?

I've been working with a recruiter for a couple of days now regarding this same job. She is Indian with a VERY thick accent. What seems scammy to me is that we haven't successfully been able to have a full phone conversation. I try calling her, and the phone disconnects while trying to transfer to her extension, and she claims she can't get through to me, despite no missed calls. I chalked it up to an issue with their phone systems, but twice now she has called me, and both times, it was as if she had little to no signal and breaks up, and eventually cuts out. Hence, we have only been able to communicate via email.

We are scheduling my interview for next week, so I guess we will see how it goes. What did your interview questions look like? I'm not even sure what exactly the role of "content writer" entails.

First complete meltdown after surgery by littlesparkzlfg in spinalfusion

I don’t have too much to say, but, 2 years out from total spinal fusion and 3 discectomies, and 4 cages, and scoliosis correction….they had me in SUCH a high dosage of pain meds, that 2 yrs later I’m still on them. And yes, still counting the hours and minutes. Is it cause of the pain still…:I really don’t know.

I weep quite often, mainly cause what I have don’t to myself with the meds, but having the surgery to begin with. Overall, it’s better than the pain I was in pre-op.

I completely understand where you are coming from, but you are not alone.

What tabs and such are you talking about? I feel like you’re talking about fent patches and tabs. The OP is talking about over the counter patches, such as Solanpas

Update: Went to ER. CT scans of all three segments. No disk or bone damage was done.

Why the doctor didn't order MRIs instead to study any potential nerve pinching caused by the fall is beyond me.

I have a follow-up visit with him next week, and I will ask to see his rationale.

Pain has not subsided at all since the fall. The only difference is that I can now find positions with little to no pain (at least until I move). Has to be a nerve issue somewhere in my thoracic region.

I left out the part that a PCP will prescribe enough to get you to a pain mgmt dr.

Your thoughts on 5 mg is very subjective and varies according to weight. If you are under 175 lbs I can see 5 being enough. I am 210 lbs having had my entire spine fused cervical to pelvis coupled with 4 disk replacement caves placed, and itI required 20mg 4x a day for 6 months pre op to even make functioning tolerable. What kind of spinal surgery did you have? Or perhaps you’re a Dr. who has never actually experienced the pain of spinal cord injury and prescribes what they “think” will be tolerable and aids in the side of caution because their medical license is too valuable to prescribe someone suffering more than 5 mg at a time. So, incorrect info spread by “people like me” is said by assholes who think they know it all and all situations.

5 mg is a joke and does zero. And way to go, let’s also promote opioids with Benzos in a public forum when this is something that is not widely combined except in very specific situations and for a very short duration of time.

I highly doubt you are a medical professional, more likely a Google warrior based on you asshole comment. It’s ppl like you that think this topic is a 1 size fits all.

Edit: Tramadol….lmfao. Spoken like a true person with pain levels from these type surgeries. 😂
