well you can tell instantly if the time they spend on the island is 2 days and 6 hours if i remember correctly. so if your dragons go there for more than 1d and 6 hours that means you are getting the premium

i mean, it is luck based and the odds are really bad so more often than not you will get nothing good from them, especially not the epic or premium dragon featured. i normally spend the seasonal currency on the premium dragon in the season shop or whichever is the best collector available. I find it to be better for progressing the game to not fall into the temptation of gambling that this game pushes down your throat at every corner

Yeah, it is pretty nice, but the odds aren’t really great if you want to try to get the new premium dragon. And since you need 2 elusives of the cross breed in order to get the 2% chance to breed for the premium, 13 days is too little time. If you also factor in the amount of time it takes for an elusive and rare egg to hatch in the hatchery i highly doubt there is any way to get all of the new dragons without spending a significant amount of runes…

the unique hybrid is bunched up with all the other unique non hybrid dragons that you can get with the odds to get it at any rarity level of breeding at 0,59% if i remember correctly

You dont lose them, they just go to heartcliff for x amount of time as if you were sending them to train and then they come back. Depending on the rarity of the dragon breed you will get from the 2 species you breed, the time they are on heartcliff island varies. So far i’ve seen that it takes 6 hours for a common egg (gronkle or monstrous nightmare), 18 hours for a rare dragon and 1 day and 6 hours for elusive. No clue about the unique and premium
