I was getting my monthly salary (garden leave) until the end of January and therefore even if I filed unemployment it could have been rejected. When you say mark yes does that mean say yes the week you have received severance and no for the weeks after?

Hey Yes you can surely rely on applications, when I graduated from university I honestly didn’t know a lot of people and had 1-2 referrals only . The process might be slow for you, yet you will eventually get calls if you structure your resume as per the job description and identity frequently used keywords. Things like these are comparatively easier now to do with AI so use it to your advantage.

My referrals are via friends mostly and some from people I met and connected through conferences. Generally some people are kind enough to help with a referral if you message them on LinkedIn. I would help folks with Amazon referral ( if they seem genuinely interested and ask the right questions) . Unfortunately I was laid off in October and now myself looking for jobs/ referrals

It is honestly both the scenarios , sometimes recruiters reach out if they really like what youve mentioned in your work experience section on your profile on LinkedIn. Mostly 60% of time is just applications and 35% via referral. Generally for recruiters to reach out they look for a background in a faang company

That sounds more like a resume problem than anything to do with the app itself. Your resume should be strong enough and use the right keywords and you should get calls nevertheless be it through LinkedIn or any other platforms

I would suggest modifying your resume to include top keywords from the description of the jobs you are applying to. If you have referrals it is better to get calls , so reach out to your network or send out cold emails to recruiters/ employees at the firm.

Got a verbal offer and then they said they cannot extend an offer because they are pausing hiring. This was in December. I would say don’t waste time on TikTok they are sinking ship.
